    Icey I have done everything wrong that could be mentioned , id say almost every man that every ran a hare has ,but now I try my best to do it right as yea may have gathered it gets up peoples noses.If yea turn yer back on a double handed race or say it dosent count it gets on peoples wrong side .Just in case anyone thinks im talking about them im talking in a general sence

    That's fine if yer hunting for food but the majority of people hunt now a day for sport so why all the double up and number crunching again not at yerself just a general comment.In spite of what people might say very rare for me to double up I did like everyone else until yea know better .Simple thing is people are driving 100s of miles for a good hunt so why not do yer best to try and do it right .

    I never mentioned you captain or your dogs what ever you do with your dogs is your own business and what I do with mine is my business .As for running im not interested louth tiger is running a comp that should sort all the running out .I have my opinion on things and you have yours .

    How many of the pups that were started last season are still with the people that started them why do some people keep changing their dogs. For some of the reasons that have been mentioned on here running double and when they finally get out on their own they cant do it or when the hares pick up their two slow

    Started her on her own banter and she did alright.I had another young bitch aswell slipped her in a couple of times not enough speed but I knew that before I ran her .TRUE STORY BANTER. A hare jumped one day I had the two young bitches out about end of November I slipped lady the hare was about 80yrds out she got to him and ran him well for about 2 mins all in one field so I slipped other bitch to kill the hare .She only got in ladys way and f****d up the run the hare got away she was about 4 or 5 months older than lady very well bred I think lady will be a good bitch next season she killed a

    How many runs double nancy or anyone not picking on anyone one run 2 or 3 maybe or a month or a season when do yea know the pup is ready to try on its own there comes a time thre too old to double up When is that time what age is old enough to go it alone?????????

    Put it this way for a laugh if you enter a young dog and it gets more blanks than catches but yea see it trying harder and you have it in good shape when it dose start to catch more maybe yea might have a real good one

    I.M.H.O Brendy the problem is yea never hear anyone say anymore that was a real good run and that hare deserved to get away .All yea ever hear is we killed 3 we killed 4 what about giving the hare a fair start and one dog after him .I hunted with a lot of the said to be top men and some of them would make yea laugh

    Did yea ever try it banter or do yea know anybody that did no speedie an i dont intend to start lifes to short my pup will be going double up to i think hes good enough to go on his own I have seen it done with lots of dogs banter and before the slagging starts not necessarily mine .Some of them turned out very good dogs legends even

    I agree with yea 100% about gates ditches ect what im saying is the hares are never given a chance by some people Slipping in pups some of these pups I seen slipped in were older than the dog that was running.This shite about getting their mouth around something in summer is just that shite I.M.H.O

    they will learn plenty in the house. They learn at the right time of year not in the summer and not double up

    The same people always have pups to bring on at this time of year and always have a pup to run with an older dog to get him going.If the lads in ireland would run fair and at the right time of year they would be no shortage of game some lads around here are only started a few weeks ago.ONE DOG ONE HARE REGARDLESS as a man used to say that hunted with us if their pups leave them in the f***ing house until their able to run themselves

    IMHO a lot of the dogs abilitys has to do with the rearing of a dog turning jumping getting over or under gates ect.Some breads may turn better than others but none of them will be any good for anything in the wrong hands .Like I always say the same men always seem to come up with a good enough dog .
