  3. Just wondering what methods people use to stop rabbits bolting along the hedge. There is often a couple of holes I can't net because of the hedge and it always seems that the rabbits bolt out of these and runs along the hedge before the dogs can get to them. Thanks

  8. Hi Just got an R10 and attached my Harris bipod to it and found that it hits the stock as it swivels. The bit that hits is where spring attaches. Don't want to dent the stock. What bipod do you suggest that wouldn't hit the stock? Thanks
  9. My 5yr old lurcher is having some problems with both his front wrist joints. The vet said it could be arthritis but is probably to young. He said we could try anti inflamitries or supplements. Does any one have experience of either? Has any one got any good suggestions for supplements? Thanks

  11. Hi Went to Allsports in Gloucester and they said that I wouldn't be able to fit a normal bipod that attaches to a sling stud to my BSA Super 10. They said I would have to go for one which would attach to the buddy bottle via an adaptor. I have seen some Super 10s on th internet with slings and bipods attached to the stock. Any one got any advice? Thanks
  12. Hi Has anyone fitted an adaptor to a BSA Superten? I have got fed up of having to take the bottle off each time to fill it up. I have seen 2 types; one that fits on the bottle and one where you have to drill a hole in the stock.
  13. Gave it a clean and then a squeeze like you said. No pus came out but a little clear fluid and then blood. Didn't pull any sack out. Going to have a look again tomorrow. Thanks everyone for the advice
  14. Thanks. Hard to tell. It has been there for about a month and is very slowly growing
  15. Would really appreciate any thoughts on this lump on my dogs leg. It has been slowly growing over the last month. It causes him no pain even when it is touched. It is about 1cm wide and a couple of mm high.
  16. We have used a shock collar on all our dogs. It has worked perfectly and our dogs are around stock now without the collars. Have seen one used badly which was really damaged the dogs relationship with the owner. Used correctly it is just an extension of the lead and is definately not a quick fix. Used as a quick fix it just causes damage.
  17. I run mine in, mostly unsuccessfully, in Gloucestershire! Although they get plenty of exercise following me on my mountain bike.
  18. We use these. Last for ages, good quality leather and padded on the neck for the dog. Much better than any other collar we've had Outhwaite Leather Greyhound Padded Collarhttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/38-46cm-Outhwaite-Leather-Greyhound-Padded-Collar-Red-Black-Whippet-Dog-Puppy-/170869462870?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Dogs&hash=item27c89d1756
  19. On the news today about too many deer. They said that 700,000 would need to be culled just to keep the numbers static. At last some news that doesn't involve hugging bunnies.
  20. Thanks for all the advice. Today he seems alot better. Happy walking and wanting to run. He still is protecting it very slightly, but is so so different to last night. Will be resting him for a while.
  21. Could be? Difficult to tell. The more I read the more I worry.
  22. Thanks He's had all his jabs. So will have a check tomorrow morning.
  23. On of my dogs has just developed a strange twitch in his back right leg. Can't think of any injury that he sustained over the weekend. He is reluctant to get up and when he does he stands up, starts to walk and his leg kicks out before he almost collapses to the floor again. He was fine this morning but having come back from work clearly seems to be in pain walking. We went out a couple of times this weekend lamping and for a bike ride, but no more than normal for a weekend? Any advice would be great. Thanks
  24. Thanks Also, what about the lure?
