  1. Just had a look on google and found this... The Pies were one of several rock bands known on Merseyside for daubing their name on walkways and other public places
  2. When I saw the title, I thought it was going to be about Helen Mirren
  3. Never bought one either.. wife buys them frozen ones and she knows full well that she'll be eating the whole thing. However, I don't mind the ones I make myself. Make the dough base, home made tomato garlic and oregano sauce, and whatever you want to throw on it. Had mild doses of the sh*ts and feeling unwell before, but only had 2 bad doses of food poisoning. Once back in the 70's from a chinky takeaway, and another about 10 years ago from a Big Mac, laid me low for about 3 days so I won't eat any Maccy D's now. Had a workmate was very bad through eating a kebab, he lost about 4 stones in
  4. 21 and likes golf........ could get him a ball washer..
  5. If you are having difficulty getting the right consistency of pellet to mould into the feeder, it might be an idea to see how using small sticks of dry pellet fare, made up with PVA mesh and using a plain lead (no feeder needed) and hook your baited hook into the mesh before casting. Only takes a few seconds for the mesh to dissolve, and your hookbait is right in and amongst the feed pellets.
  6. Thanks for reply, was just curious. I haven't had a tank now for about 17 years, got rid of them when we moved
  7. Genuine question, why would you not recommend Neons in a new tank? About 20 years ago I started a new tank with dechlorinated tap water, an undergravel filter and some plant (seem to recall it was elodea), left it running for 3 days and put a dozen Neons in and didn't have any problems.
  8. Tiger barbs are not the only fin nippers, Angel Fish do as well. If you are after a shoal of colourful fish, Neon Tetras and Cardinal Tetras are a good choice, but best to do some research on which fish will live happily with others. I went in a Koi shop a few years back and he had a tank of tiny koi's, but also in the tank were some american brook trout. He sh*t himself when I explained that they were predatory and in the morning he wouldn't have any baby koi's left ... and to think that people go in these shops for advice
  9. My wedding ring was off within a fortnight, kept getting grounbait stuck underneath it. You might be able to tell from that sentence that we never had a honeymoon, and I spent 2 weeks going out fishing. I had booked a week away at the Bat & Ball in Breamore, down on the Hampshire Avon, but cancelled.
  10. Can't argue with that but I would add that political correctness has a lot to answer for, the fact that it is eroding our freedom of speech. Not allowed to state an honest opinion in case it hurts someones feelings...
  11. Agree with that, about 15 Tiger Barbs makes a fine sight. Only thing with them I found is that they do like to nip fins. Another nice looking fish IMO is the Clown Loach with their orange and black bars.
  12. Wonder what inspired him to sing The Young Ones...
  13. Certainly are some beautiful moths, had a garden tiger moth (where else but in the garden ) last week during the day. It even landed on my trousers for a few seconds, so I went and fetched my camera only for the wife to tell me it had flown off. Really fibrant colours whilst in flight.
  14. Funny how dogs have no fear of ripping their balls off on barbed wire, unless it's a bitch of course..
  15. Looks like another Elephant Hawk Moth... I think, could be wrong though.
  16. I think we all go through spells like that. My permission was never easy, but it is getting harder. Used to stalk around and pick them off, but they would see you first and all you saw was a white arse dissappearing down a hole. I went through a spell of 6 blanks for 1 shot... and that hit a twig which I couldn't see through the scope. I still have a mooch round first though, and spot which warrens are most active, and then get plotted up and pick off one or two and move on. It's just good to get out into the countryside TBH.
  17. That's a good price, just shows how much extra Deben are making over the top
  18. No probs Skot. snipersystems bipod with swivel tilt is about £70, as opposed to the same version from Harris for £129.95.. A good bipod is essential for a doddery old fart like me
  19. Yes, of course you can. Replace your stock screw with a HW100 bipod stud screw. I got mine off Ebay. Also, the bipod itself has to have the facility built in, which means it's more expensive. I went for one with a built in tilt (invaluable) from snipersystems. Also get quick release sling swivels.. job's a goodun.
  20. I think that needs to be applied to ALL dogs in public. Every dog (with teeth) has the capability of inflicting damage, or worse, to another dog or person. The most vicious and unpredictable dog I have ever encountered was a Cairn Terrier. F*****g thing had a screw loose. It belonged to my brother, and whilst for the most time it was OK, it would suddenly turn. I told him it needed putting down, or at the very least a muzzel in public, but he couldn't see past that.
  21. Mister Gain

    Ouch

Haha, seen that before, that's what you call a 'haymaker'... bet he learnt a lesson though.
  22. Sounds like you and Sarah are doing a fine job, bide your time, do the job right and they will have to reassess what actions they are entitled to take in the future. Hope the old bill get a toe up the arse as well.
  23. Agree with that, don't know about the dakkies, but around this way you see whites with them, mainly f*cked up looking staffs, by that I mean they are bitza's with a bit of staff in them.
