Pickling Eggs (Vinegar Ratio)
Mister Gain replied to kanny's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
I used to put birdseye chilli's in mine, but they were dried, and they flavour them well and with no discolouration. Reckon your reapers should be OK. Err on the side of caution unless it's only you who will be indulging, some people can't take much chilli. I once took a large jar of pickled onions to work for a pre christmas buffet, and they were loaded with birdseyes and had been brewing for ages, great fun watching all the so called chilli heads sweating and eyes watering -
Mother Of 3 Abducted And Raped By Gang Of Migrants
Mister Gain replied to neems's topic in General Talk
There is a description JD, "She was driven away by two white men in a silver car and found more than three hours later about a mile away, knocking on doors and seeking help." That's not to say they may have been from eastern europe or not as the case may be. -

Field To Table, - Condition Of Shot Game With Air Rifles.
Mister Gain replied to mark williams's topic in Airgun Hunting
Occasionally my mate drops me off a brace of pheasants which have been shot with a shotgun. The condition of some of them is terrible, and the meat takes a lot of preparation. I have prepared them with up to a dozen shot inside. Shattered bone, pierced guts and intestines which permeates the whole bird, strands of feathers which have been pulled through the breasts and/or thighs, as well as checking for the actual shot itself. I actually chew my food and don't fancy breaking my teeth on shot. Difficulty in plucking the bird without tearing the skin where it has been perforated etc. I don't bot -

Nasty little b*****d, bet the woman doesn't do any more charitable acts, although I can't understand why the bill wasn't paid from the donations initially. I knew he was a wrong'un when I met him at a BBQ, sure the fcuker was trying to chore some free grub.

Vet-medic.com sell it approx half the price of my vet, only thing is, as BGD says, you need a prescription. My vet currently charges £32.99, and vet-medic charges £16.52 but you have to factor in the price the vet charges for a prescription.

A lot of us already know how to butcher a pig, but Scott Rea has obtained permission from Jack Hargreaves' family to upload one of his programs to his youtube channel. Must say I thoroughly enjoy listening to Jacks narration. Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExuPP7xWcsE

Bread pudding was made with bread which was 'past it's best', it was left to soak in either water or milk with sugar and ground mixed spice (cinnamon, coriander, cloves, pimento, nutmeg and ginger) and dried mixed fruit added (currants, raisins, sultanas, peel etc) and left to infuse and for the fruit to plump up a bit. The whole lot is 'mushed' together and it is put into a buttered baking tray and baked in the oven, with some more sugar sprinkled over the top. There was no definitive recipe as it was usually made 'by eye'. Just found some ground mixed spice at the back of the cupboard,

I do enjoy a mature cheddar and Branston pickle Breville (also known as a toastie), don't use it that often though as it's a faff to clean up, but doing well for something invented in 1974.

Irresponsible dog owners are an absolute liability. I c*nted my neighbour off a few weeks back, he has a doberman and the signs were evident within the first 4 months that it had an over aggressive streak, which I pointed out to him. He said it was just puppy play, but it wasn't IMO. Now it is about 22 months and it has no recall, it has run out of the park and caused 2 cars to brake heavily to avoid killing it, he lets it run out of his sight so has no idea if there are other dogs or children about. It aggressively attacked my dog twice in 3 weeks when out of his sight, which is why I lost my

Murphy goes to his friend Pat and says ... "I'm sleeping with the Pastor's wife. Can you hold him in church for an hour after services for me.” Pat doesn't like it but, being Murphy's longtime friend, he agrees. After service,he starts talking to the Pastor, asking him all sorts of stupid questions, just to keep him occupied. Finally the Pastor gets annoyed and asks Pat what he's really up to. Pat, feeling guilty, finally confesses to the Pastor. "My friend is sleeping with your wife right now, so he asked me to keep you occupied." The Pastor smiles, puts a brotherly hand o

Following on from the courgette pie thread, my mate is getting plenty of blue kale this year and bought some over for me. I made a Kale flan/quiche and a mega sized kale pasty. Kale had the stems removed (wife don't like them) and blanched in salted boiling water for 2 mins then strained and finely chopped. Half a small onion finely chopped and 4 small plumb tomatoes quartered. All sweated down in a TBS of olive oil. Chopped fresh sage and thyme added, and allowed to cool. Blind baked a pastry case. Custard made with 4 eggs, dash of milk, and a good handful of grated cheddar, sa

You could always angle grind the bottom 6" off the cylinders and invert the pieces and weld them together, paint them with Hammerite and have a couple of nice planters ready for next year. Score 'brownie' points with the good lady in the process. Nice and simple project.

Mine had first jabs at 8 weeks, second ones at 10 weeks and the vet said just give it 2-3 days before taking him out. One jab for leptospirosis, and other one for DHP, assume that's distemper, hepatitis and parvovirus.

I was a happy lad in the 60's if I got a 5 bob postal order or a ten bob note in a birthday card, would last me for weeks for sweets. My teenage era was late 60's early 70's.
