There are a lot of scams on free-ad services, like useddudley/wolverhampton/cheltenham/whatever even pistonheads et al and the clue is in the 'free' bit. No con-artist will generally pay for an advert as that would make them traceable.
Other things to look for; lousy spelling eg 'rifal', a pristine item at a low but not unreasonable price, item located abroad etc. In fact it's fun trying to suss out the scammers and send them an email to give them an opportunity to reel out their web of trickery and at least waste their time answering you lol.
