  3. A mate of mine keeps Lohmans,matter of fact he swears by them. I prefer Light Sussex myself.
  4. Yes you can't go wrong with Light Sussex.
  5. Size isn't everything mate(so the wife tells me). In my opinion to Brains compensate for speed.

  9. Anybody give me some advice on posting pics. I've just bought a new camera, every time i try to put a pic up it says that i've not selected a file. I was able to post pics with my other camera. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Fresh Bread, put a couple of slices down and put some 1"x1" mesh on top so they can't carry it away. I've used this method many times.
  11. Raw meat,meaty bones.vegetables. It's handy having a mate who is a Butcher who also runs Lurchers.
  12. if it a pup i put borad at the gate of the run were it got to come out once it start jumping that i just keep makeing high that works for me mate That's the best and easiest way to get a pup to jump.

  17. I bought a copy many years ago,a good read. He had an article in the CMW the other week.
  18. A Farmer friend had is Crollweitzer turkey hen attacked by a Fox in his garden the other week. This was about 11o'clock in the morning.Luckily she survived. Ironic really as Red Dog has taken at least 14 foxes off this farm in a 3 month period in the wires.
  19. Exactly the same happened to me many years ago, a dear old lady in the village bless her, commented on my Deerhound crosses, i politley told her they were perfectly Ok but she was having none of it.
  20. I,ve just had four Turkeys hatch today and some more Light Sussex.I hope i don't have any more casualties . Cotswold, as regards your thoughts about Rats getting immune to poison i was chatting to a chap who sets poison in a factory i used to work in, He said it was a waste of time poisoning Rats where Poultry is concerned because the poultry food contains a natural antidote(Vitamin k)
