  1. That's made my evening! Enlightening isn't it Mr Goodcat It is indeed :-D.
  2. Nice one Smithie. I remember the first time I went out on me jack jones, no matter how many times you run through the processes the experience was still different to the theory. You ended up with a better catch than me and I didn't have any odd noise's as a distraction.;-) Well done chap.
  3. Was Ghost from the Gloucester / Bristol area at one point?
  4. A lot of time went into the making of that post, well done it was really worth it . No doubt there will be a lot of people repairing nets in front of a screen from now on. And I would agree in making it a sticky. Mr Goodcat.
  5. If you want twine for long nets, then as said above the gear from Germany is second to none. If you are looking for purse net twine, although I haven't bought any for a long time I seem to remember Agouti being a very good price. And the quality is fine. Mr Goodcat.
  6. I really enjoyed reading that post, cheers . The pink panther! That thought has gone through my head a few times . Nor me Bill, Socks could you show us how the net is attached to the rings? TC on a traditional net? can you expand on that and say why and how and what you personally consider the pros and cons to be? i have never seen traditional nets with meshes sewn directly onto the end pins either. I'v used small stop nets for ferreting awful hedges with the meshes attached to one pin. I go on my hands and knees, lean in and ram the e
  7. Hi Darren, I haven't to date used one or constructed one but I have gone so far as the design / planning stage and for me the con's outweighed the pro's in the end so that's as far as it went really. But like the one has just said, fair play for having a crack at it and I wish you the best of luck mate . Mr Goodcat.
  8. Lovely bit of kit there mate . I like the ideal of the full mesh being used on the selvedge..... Very clever . All the best chap!! Mr Goodcat.
  9. Cheers boys, I appreciate the input. I will try the other size to see what happens but I think I have right size for my gun, as the old/current combination is extremely accurate. Well a lot more accurate than myself:-)... Mr Goodcat.
  10. Cheers for the reply gents, oddly enough checking the old tin was next on the list. I'm interested in trying the ever so slightly different sizes though. So the heavy Diablo's would be no good for the off the shelf air guns but for the high power ones I should imagine they would provide a fair amount more killing power? .Mr Goodcat.
  11. Morning all, I have an S410 but I haven't used it properly for about two years now but after getting it out ready for a clean up I have discovered the pellet stock is a little low. I have just looked online and the one thing I have noticed which I have not noticed before is the .22 has two sizes 5.51mm & 5.52mm. What difference would the two sizes make in comparison to each other? Also just out of interest they do a heavy pellet in 18 grains which I take it they are for FAC's, would the slight extra weight make them an improvement on the lighter ones? As you can probably gather
  12. A very good idea, I like it and I'm certainly going to give it a bash . Mr Goodcat.
  13. Many happy returns mate!!! Mr Goodcat.
  14. Cheers Dan, I'll be in touch September, get a day sorted Sound chap;-). Mr Goodcat.
  15. Nice one boy's! Glad to see your still getting out. I think my ferts are going to start their summer holidays now after a hedge / young combination turned a nice trip out into an emotional nightmare. All the best gents! Mr Goodcat.
  16. Well done mate! And what lovely scenery. Mr Goodcat.
  17. That look's really handy Smithie. Mr Goodcat. ill let you have it for postage cost if you wish.. i can cut the plate smaller to keep weight down but you do need to clamp it to something that does not move... let me know.. Hi Smithie, Sorry about the delay chap I have just seen your post. Thank you very much for the offer mate it's very good of you and I would take you up on it but if I accumulated any more rabbiting paraphernalia and the wife saw it she would go feckin ape shit.. . Thank's though. Mr Goodcat.
  18. Nice bit of advice Joonsy, thanks! Mr Goodcat.
