Mine did it four times and as iddles says they harden up after a while. They are a bit smaller now as well I gave mine a week and he was fine running again although i laid off the work for a bit longer

I have a saluki cross that ran a mile every time i let him off the lead I've had him for a 2 years now. I called him back every time he went too far and gave him cooked liver and loads of praise when he returned hes a lot better now but I wouldn't say hes perfect. He can still bugger off but hes pretty good when hes on the lamp

My general experience has been a good one at SLD There are a few who do take it a bit too seriously I tend to go along to give the dogs a good run. I'm not too bothered by a 25 pence rosette

Well done snatch !! Good call Marko ... I started my pup on the lamp last night at 11.5 months old. Two bunnies one nice healthy one and another with a bit of Mixy off of 4 runs. Although all of my retieve training seemed to go out the window. Back to the drawing board on that one !!

Mines 10 months and I have not started yet Bit of free running and pavement work should start the muscle devlopment and some good raw meaty food should do the trick
