Well if you have money to spend and in my opinion waste then why not spend an extra 40 odd quid for an A4 piece of paper? Lets face it, may be slow service getting the documents out, but I'm covered from the second my payment is made and hey I saved a small fortune. I've only been asked about insurance once the rest of my clients dont even think about it. However I do always draw their attention to the fact that I have it. And I do everything I possibly can to make sure that I nor anyone else is ever going to make any kind of claim. I don't shoot if its not a safe shot. Tony i have

Hi Guys , does any one know if you can attach a cam corder to a NV scope , mine is a Yukon Sentinel. I just think it would be nice to watch on an evening indoors while sipping on a glass of Malt whiskey. Mind you I must say I get a lot of satisfaction watching others videos while sipping on the said whiskey .Cheers Ted

Hi again folks. My passion for air gun shooting revolves solely around reducing rat populations, though if i am honest i guess i am only thinning down the said population on my permission. The owners seem to be happy, actually they are more willing to have me on their land with my gun than when i use the dogs , which is strange really because the dogs can mark nests of rats that are days old , rats that will become a major nuisance in the weeks to come , anyhow its their choice and to be trutheful it keeps my shooting permission in tact. I am no expert mind , iam just lucky enough to have a fe

Do your ratting dogs get on with cats?
rushty replied to Jordb543's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
I personally think some people think that their dogs , if they are working dogs , should hate cats and want to kill any thing that moves. To me this would be a nuisance , I think most dogs would chase a cat as they would anything else of the same size as a matter of fact , however wether or not they would kill them is another matter as a cat can be a fair opponent. Best thing to do is train ya dog not too as too many people again thnink terriers are a law unto themselves and cant be trained. Terriers are dogs just like collies etc and if they are trained properly there shouldnt be a probvlem. -
Phantom I dont know what you mean by trigger mech but , and am probs gonna show my ignorance here, I have noticed that when i go for a shot and the safety was left on , that when i remove the safety the trigger seems some times to be like a hair trigger , its probly me to be honest. I did have a AA 410 and loved it very much and am gonna save to get another one day and use that as my day gun.

Thanks again guys. My gun is weirhauch 100, Phantom, Nice gun and quite heavy but really well ballanced. I have a yukon sentinel NV fitted to it , which I sold all my fishing gear to buy. It has a lovely walnut body and I treat it regularly and it just dawned on me that the mechanism is probably much more important and I should be doing something about it so thanks again guys.

Well in thatcase , The Feed Warehouse in Browney, naer Brandon, Durham must be the cheapest place around. Some customers say they are saving 6 kwid and more on some bags of dog feeds , handy in this day and age. They also do ferret stuff and just about everything else really, hope this helps, cheers Ted

Hi Folks , I have had my gun about a year now and was wondering what sort of general maintenence i I should be doing. Thanks in anticipation, Ted

I dont know how this forum is with advertising but If i am allowed i can advise people who live in the Durham area where they can save lots of money on animal food. I wont post anything else until a mod says so, cheers Ted.

Thanks again for the replys guys. Probs cos I am soft as s..t I wont even ask anyone but times are hard for everyone at the moment and I see people buying rat poison from the warehouse my wife works at and the prices are mad , just thought it might help everyone .I go shooting with my son in law who is obviously married to my daughter and they have a coupl,e of little uns so I just wouldnt ask for petrol money from him... its hard enough to pay mortgage and feed and clothe kids etc. I take in what you all have posted and probably what I will do with new permission is make a joking remark and s

Thanks again Phantom , youre reply makes lots of sense . I would never ask any one to pay for permission I asked for , its just that word has got around a bit and a few people are contacting me ( probs cos its for free) . Anyhow re the car , it was left to me from my Dad so I wont be getting rid ( and wont wing bout mpg again) at least not on here, thanks everybody,

Thanks for that Phantom, I agree with you all the way. I have been asked a couple of times how much I charge and replied that its all free , however I am being aske4d out about three times a week at the moment to people I have already said "its a free service" too and the petrol and pellet costs are mounting , christ I dont want a fortune just a bit toward the petrol would be wonderful, thanks again for reply. Best thing you could do pal is to stay at home in the evenings or get a push bike Ive come across some tight gits on this site before but you take the biscuit your out 3/4 times a we

Love reading this part of the forum as it is much more layed back than other topics. Just wondering if it is acceptable to ask for payment for rat culling. When we started off shooting and killing rats with the terriers we were ( and still are) just happy enough to get some permission. One permission , for eg,which doesent lend itself to ratting with the dogs , we have taken over 150 rats since we startred in January with our guns and night scopes. However this meant many visits to the small holding as on averagge we take about 10 rats per night. As I drive a 3 litre petrol Subaru Outback ( 19

Got a call from my permission the other day which has a major rat problem. Cant really usethe dogs at this site so my wheirach and NV scope do the biz. The owner claimed that rats have killed and stripped to the bone a three quarter grown gosling , I checked the site out and am pretty sure a fox couldnt have got access , does it seem feasible that they would bring down a big gosling, cheers.

Got maself barred from the WPT site , which broke ma heart LOL. Any way , just a little post to say that IMO ( which probs means nowt to any one) , however I will still post any way. Plummer Terriers are , to the general publc nowt more than Jack Russells ( wish I had a kwid for every one who said "nice little dog , is it A Jack Russel., so that says a lot in my opinion. However we know better , as this breed is a tad more important than a small dog mated to a small dog that has its tail docked, which can be called Jack Russel. I had a part bred Plummer many years ago and it was out standing
