  5. It is, the extra velocity cuts through a breeze like a hot knife through butter. But in a wind the problems are much the same as a 12ftlb rifle but not as exaggerated. The rifle is a HW90 TB fac, I modified the ram from fac standard by increasing swept volume (longer stroke), of coarse there had to be new machined parts made for the linkage and so on, but the result is truly incredible with the lock time feeling more like a regular springer now. I also own a 12ftlb 90, but the fac is far more accurate. atb phil
  6. Could not have said any more pianoman than lordnelson has scribed. You are indeed a gent, Are you related to davyt ? I once relented on a hot tart for free because my order was realy late, not the same thing i know, but the principles are the same. Good luck and shooting with your "new" toy ! atb phil
  7. A bloke down the club has one, and he tried jsb's, all over the place with three quarter inch groups at 35 yards, .22 accupells (rested) produce 9 mm 5 shot groups at same distance. Definately get a dampa mount, gas rams are scope killers ! cheaper in the long run. atb phil
  8. If your quick you can come with me atb phil
  9. Archie You are sick ! What the f**k is that avatar about ?? fekin cruelty Best arse ive seen this side of the bed !
  10. Yes, thats a fact, the amount of times i have had to leave a hide to finish off a bird is quite a lot over the years, rabbits too, But most of the time happily, i get it right. probably the same for every one craig, they just dont mention it. atb phil
  11. Much the same here, but instead of jersey royals its barley and rape. going to set off in about an hour. Good luck over there craig ! atb phil
  12. Great idea, but dont forget about the 50ft rule, just pace off 15 mtrs its still very close, but nothing he can do about it. good luck ! atb phil
  13. Once you have done what skot said, above, swap your mounts over, try front to the back, if to no avail, turn mounts so the dovetail tightening screws are on the other side. If none of this works its either, barrel is out of alighnment from the action, scope grooves are not true, or the scope is broke. sometimes scopes internals stick, and re-centreing like skot suggested can work. good luck. atb phil some times its the mounts that are the problem, which is why i suggested turning them.
  14. Craig, your not a fascist pig are you lol only kidding mate, I think i'm being facetious now. Good shooting with that 200, rabbits never stood a chance, wind or no ! atb phil
  15. Well shot, can't get fresher meat than that ! atb phil

  17. Well done kevmac, accurate aint they, is it your first pc ? atb phil

  19. Over time moxy i have used a lot of owls, the ones with eyes that have fell off (with use) dont work too well. But the ones with nice shiny eyes do a realy good job, so have to disagree with you there mate. atb phil
  20. I have 5 farms in one area for the exact reason you mentioned, started with one ! But there was no argy bargy amongst the land owners, just helping each other out, and me in the process having free reign over all. All by word of mouth, only one door knocked. forget writing, they like to see you, so they can gauge you, safe shot and the rest of it. Hope it really is infested PIL, more power to you mate. atb phil
  21. No reason why it wouldent work as long as the eyes are evident, bought a flappy owl from blackpool air rifles for under 20 quid, drives em mad ! atb phil
  22. ayup phil i believe this sort of scenario to rfer to somebody who has ''all the gear, but no idea''!! like mole said loads of dpm suits for £36 is all you need regards, SKoT Yep, Thats about the size of it skot lol And mole, bang on with the saving money angle, Think i may write a book covering the subject of "field craft" Do you think it would sell And you wont see me back in a full nbc suit either craig atb phil
  23. Oh yes, I agree with you, seeing that grain is a beautiful thing, and the satisfaction of restoration is almost god like, but making your rifle invisible like we try to do with ourselves is also important, A very shiny rifle, and a camoflaged person does not realy bode well in a hunting situation. atb phil
