    If a ferret can't get it then a human probably can't get it. They are used in medical testing because they have similar physiological, metabolic and anatomical features to us. That's why you can get the flu of them and they can get it off you. Tunstall

    I've been hearing about the odd dog dying because of bones splintering in their stomach, now, from what I can see it seems to be cooked bones that cause the problem or bones without any meat on them. I have a Doberman, not your traditional hunting dog I know, which I feed whole rabbits and I give him some beef bones I get from the local butcher every so often. I was wondering if any of you had any experience with this happening (I hope not) or think I should just cut the meat of the bones to feed him.

    Have any of you guys ever tamed a mink? Normally I would throw it to the dog if I ever get one caught in a trap because they're a god damned menace but lately I've been thinking about taming one and using it for ferreting, or minking I suppose.

    Hey Guys, I keep rabbits largely to feed my ferrets I'm having a lazy day and not going out hunting or for supplying the local falconry club. What I'm wondering is if they can pass any diseases to my ferrets? I just give them whole rabbit as I figured that's closer to what they would eat naturally. I regularly worm the ferrets if that helps.

    Thanks for the advice guys. @Lee C, It's good to hear that I can go ferreting with a bird and don't worry I wouldn't get a bird without seriously thinking about it first.

    Hey Guys, I'm interested in Falconry but not really sure where to start. I was wondering if you could give me a few tips on what I would need to start and how to properly care for the bird. Also could this be used alongside ferreting with a well trained bird or would there still be a risk of my ferret getting harmed when it finally comes back out of the warrens? Tunstall

    Hey Guys, I'm a new member from Ireland, I'm pretty new to hunting, only been at it for a couple of years, still got plenty to learn. I mostly hunt with my dog if I'm looking for a good meal for the two of us, when I'm camping, or my ferrets on the local farms and in the gardens around my village to keep the rabbits down. Sometimes I'll catch some of the rabbits and keep them as pets, breed them then sell on the kittens when their old enough. That's about it. Tunstall
