    spar pics!

I am by no means a pro but i've listened to some of the best, my advice is to start hooding early & don't man the bird at first when the meal has finshed a minute or so later you'll see the bird start to get agitated this is when to put it down, I could go on put the best thing you can do is read jack mavrogordato's hawk for the bush, it's all you'll need & more... feel free to ask me anything you want i'm no expert but i no a little from the right sources.

    spar pics!

the top pic was my musket ted, i found it very scary taking him down in weight to fly & was very tricky to man, i sold him to a breeder. The next is a hood i had made for him, it's snake & lizard skin! The next are of lucy my imprint spar, she'd been left & had reverted to being very unsteady i felt a bit cheated to be honest as i bought her as an imprint, i put some work in to her got her going but died of unknown causes.
  3. I'll do it tommorrow if i remember i have pics of a musket & spar that i trained & flew but for various reasons didn't do much with , i'll be imprinting a spar for the first this year that should make some good pics!
  4. he loves the birds but their not so sure about him l.o.l have you seen my harris pics? how'd last night go yer stud?
  5. this was the first bird i trained by myself , her name was maude, i trained & flew her as i was told you should start with a harris, it didn't float my boat like falcons & accipiters but was a good learning curve.
  6. them spaniards don't f**k about like this country, my father in law's just f****d off there for good, i'm going to as soon as poss , top coursing land & top game hawking, food , wine & sun. i've seen the light.
  7. up in till the pup matures a few retrieves a week is enough, end on a good one, do it in an area she has to retrieve in & when she has it in her mouth to begin with crouch & turn/walk away, all that is all well & good but sounds like yours is bored of it so i just would completely lay off for a while.
  8. i'm always lucky! I have heard you getting lucky My dog will look great in that!!! blimey did you? how ever good it sounded it was better! come stay soon unless last time the noises in the night scared you too much..i can see you in the night on the phone to your mam "i think he's hurting her mam make it stop!" ..
  9. l.o.l who said rohipnol isn't a long term answer, everytime she comes round she gets another dose!
  10. i convinced of it millet, i think she did a lot of holding stuff!
  11. i have a pointer pup as well frank just for my falconry, most of the bunnys have been flushed by missus sprocker which was pissing me off when shooting as she opening up on rabbits all the time but is now proving usefull as the lurcher comes quick when she hears it. here's the pointer thanks beagles , i think so too.
  12. I assume you mean the lurcher pup frank? she's doing great, i've found a place with a fair bit of mixy so she's mopping them up.
  13. l.o.l it's about the same size / quality of our house l.o.l
  14. i was pretty impressed with this! i think her dad may have helped a little! who'd have thought anything this pretty could be that handy?
  15. thanks everyone , the falcon is moulting now, i found the magpie hawking very difficult & won't be doing it with again, not with a falcon anyway! I plan this year to put him up to the kite then bash some partridge & posss some duck but saying that's what i'm gonna do is the easy part l.o.l I have a lot more pics of my harris & spar pics, when i get a minute i'll post them. forgot to add the bird on right is my mates landfill pere/saker that died this year, he was a proper star & was priveleged to have met him. the bird that is!
  16. falcons on magpie & crow
  17. send pics to me lat & i'll re size them & bang them up. i'll pm you my email ad.
  18. he looked like a right machine. hope you're otherwise well.
  19. VERY NICE, wasn't that white one a little bugger? full of it's self? I'm going slow with mine but at the mo it seems like she's catching everytime we're out walking what with all these baby bunnys, she had another yesterday, that's 7 in 2 week, she's a very head strong game bitch that will run off screaming when she's done something wrong but will do it again if you turn away l.o.l She's been far more trouble than even my spaniel but the new pointer is a headstrong thing & they seem well suited & are always together. I'm very pleased with her so far, exactly what i was looking for, she
  20. i'd only just got her when you came round , bout time you were down again.
  21. thanks , i didn't know she was a mearle or wall eye till i said i wanted one , i just wanted a dog that was mainly whippet greyhound for bunnys.
  22. i'm not sure how big she is at the mo what with her growing daily, last time a month ish ago she was 22inch, 24inch is ideal for me & she might just get there. playin with my pointer pup -
