  1. GD Waz, No they were in the hay in tunnel systems a lot like in the ground. The coon dig tunnels between the hay bales and they can go down 30 foot deep in some barns. We had a barn with tunnel systems like a high rise apartment building a couple of years ago and the dogs got in at the top of the hay and ended up at the bottom 25 feet down 6 hours later and we ended up cutting a hole in the barn loft floor from below and got a ladder and got the coon and dogs out that way. They were spent and all busted up from a 6 hour fight. Hunt well! Paul
  2. ok , Nuttall blooded ! but bred by Ronny Cloot ! some are in 3 rd or 4 th generation bred by him ! the first of the dog´s he started with were exported i guess around 15-20 years ago (maybe more) and a few were not so long ago imported ! Greeting´s Steezy p.s. wasn´t it the Dog makes the paper and not the paper make´s the dog ????? so if they are Booth , Nuttall , Gould , Parks , Chapman "bloodet" or "bred" dog´s or any other breeders dog´s isn´t it just a good dog is worth to feed ? everytime some name´s come up everybody jump on it and try to talk the dog´s bad ... but if
  3. Clancy, The one with the busted up face is only just 16 months. This is the first real season of hard hardcore hunting she has done. She jumped right in like she has been doing it for years. Ronny Cloot breeds some fine dogs!
  4. Good day in the barns! The dogs did real well and my Cloot bitch Merlin got a little bit of a chewin about her muzzle and face. I love to see a young dog turn on! Four coon for the day. HUNT WELL! Barnburner http://www.barnburnerpatterdales.com
  5. Was having a spectacular season until this last Saturday. Didn't get one critter the whole day! It's been years since that has happened. With Christmas coming we won't get out til After the 25th. Gonna be a long couple weeks! HUNT WELL! Barnburner http://www.barnburnerpatterdales.com
  6. Do you want green or tanned skins? I can sell you some green hides. They would be fleshed and stretched. HUNT WELL! Paul
  7. I use an insulated box out of steel commercial garage door sections. You can get scrap ends from an installer for free. These are foam filled. I line with thin plywood. In the winter I use a 60 watt light buld spray painted black for a little heat and this also keeps the moisture out. I make a lid out of the same sections and put steel building corners on the sides and caulk them. They work great and hardly cost any $. HUNT WELL! Paul http://www.barnburnerpatterdales.com
  8. We worked two young dogs and got two coon. Only hunted a couple of hours and I had to go to work. We left a lot of coon in this barn but we plan on going back to play clean up this weekend though. Pics below...... HUNT WELL! Paul

  10. Sorry for your loss. I know all to well what it's like. I lost two old timers this year as well. A Russell 16 years my hunting companion, and my first Patterdale 13 years my hunting companion. I lost the Russell to old age and the Patterdale to a stroke while hunting and had to put her down. They were a Terrierman's dream team. Thanks for the story! And again.... sorry for your loss!!!!! 11. Mr. Robert Booth in France told us to let the Booth females go at 6 months if we thought they were ready. He also told us to hold back the males until they were at least a year. I was sceptical on doing this but as it turns out he knows what he was talking about. She is doing fantastic. I normally don't let any dog go before a year. 12. Erik, Thanks friend! Long time no talk. How ya been? I wish Aaron and could have come to hunt with you and Ronny but Aaron couldn't get his passport in time for the trip. We will be to see ya next year for sure though! I'll give you a call this week on skype. Tell Ann howdy for me and Stop by my board once and a while! We miss your posts! HUNT WELL! http://www.barnburnerpatterdales.com
  13. Had some Rookies out last weekend and they did real well. The young 6 month old Booth chocolate bitch in the pic located and worked the coon like a two year old. Hard as nails. Couldn't ask for more out of a young dog! Was a good day! Three jumbos below... HUNT WELL! http://www.barnburnerpatterdales.com
