    Cheers mate. I just about knocked every farm, golf course,etc for 40 square miles. No shooting to be had and my gun is just used for paper punching now. Carp news but there ya go.. Atb

    Since losing my permission earlier this year and knocking on 40 plus farms.posting 100s of letters /E Mails i have decided that's enough! I have a guy coming round later today to hopefully buy my gun. Cheers for the help and encouragement over the last few months. I will still pop in to keep up with whats going on. All the best

    Got the shoot in January.. A few more letters done today & ready for posting. A few more days door knocking next Friday.. Not quite happy days but putting the effort in. Cheers.

    Yesterday saw me knock on the doors of 14 farms up on the Notts/Leics border..Not a one to be had. I reckon i gotta look a few hours drive away to get another chance of a shoot. To tell the truth i am just about resigned to back yard plinking.. Such is life.

    I lost my permission this morning..... Met up with farmer to advise i was on the land only to be told that i was not welcome anymore.. Someone has been lamping on the land (Not Me) and he thinks its me,Tried to convince him that it was not me but no chance. Now i have lost a brill shoot because some scrote has decided to just walk on & shoot. Proper hurt me this has.. I nearly lobbed by gun up the road..

    I sometimes use a forked stick as a monopd. Works for me with my Meteor. Your idea seem good to me. i have a few rests scattered around on my grounds made from various sand bags etc. I was thinking of hitting a car boot sale for a camera tripod to play with. ATB

    Letters worked for me. Mind you i have done my fair share of knocking.. I am part way to securing another shooting opportunity a few miles up the road from a letter posted months ago. Good luck with it.Keep on keeping on. ATB

    Some days i don't get to hunt due to all the quarry being across the road on another's patch but just being there is good for the soul ...Weather picking up well at my end & things are looking good for a shoot on Sunday. ATB

    Been a while since i logged in here.. Only a couple of good days on my patch.Too much snow.. Got out a few days ago and got 9 pigeons, Bloody cold though. Looks like the weather is picking up my end so things are looking good for next weekend.

    been on holiday and now back. Nipped up yesterday got myself six pigeons.bad news is a massive flock went overhead and settled in trees across the road,not my patch so gutted to see this happen, a good clump of woodland over there but the land owner already has shooters.Lucky bleeders. Back on my patch the ground is getting a bit drier but only seen two rabbits in the far distance. I noticed a lot of bats coming and going in one clump of trees,nice to see um,only little uns so i assume they are pipestrelles. Did a bit more cleaning up around my hide loads more cans - bottles & 12 quid in
