  1. I'd love to be over there period!
  2. Tremo the common land would still be regarded as a 'public place' and the rules regarding firearms and the transporting or carrying of would apply.
  3. Completely agree CC unfortunately reloading's not an option here.
  4. There are not many Remington .17 users because it has limited uses, is expensive to run and has very little choice of factory ammo. What drew you to the .17? Compared to what Deker mate.. the beauty of this calibre is that I can shoot in almost any direction with little fear of richochet and the myths about barrel burning and no good in the wind are statements mainly by people who have never shot one. Your right about the ammo though but that's the suppliers fault it's a calibre that's not flavour of the month so they don't import it. I've often wondered why people went out and bough

  6. Right on both counts Alsone, I don't reload so its just factory ammo for me, its hard to get hold of and the prices are high (you can pay £50 for a box of 20).
  7. Just wanted to compare notes, i've just acquired one and it definately packs a punch.
  8. As above are there any .17 Remington shooters about
  9. They would probably have had second thoughts in America where they could legally have been shot and killed (The thieves obv.) I feel for the victims, its unfortunate that the powers that be are so petrified of the application of what's regarded as undue force in the the protection of someones family or property that its basically a free for all for the career criminal fraternity with virtually no fear of the law. I see it all the time with the traveller element (who's purpose on this earth still eludes me).
  10. but you could do the same (mess up bullet placement) at what could be regarded as an 'acceptable' range.. what would be the charge then incompetance? I've seen a fox run 70yds after being holed with a 22-250.
  11. Any ferreting lads in Surrey or M3/M25 junction fancy an afternoon/evening's ferreting?
  12. Totally... get a few decent traps and you'll soon learn the wrongs and rights of catching as well as picking up a new skill.. go for it and have fun!
  13. What advice would you give to a client who has crows nesting high up in some poplars next to their house (please keep it sensible )
  14. Andrew have you got a contact number mate? Martin
  15. Bit of rodenticide should sort it out John, (same precautions against non target species as before) they're going to come in now the temperatures dropping. Martin
  16. Walshie you may live in an area that's fairly well populated with foxes, i would just pre bait a safe area and cull the numbers back. I've shot foxes in gardens and they've never had a problem since. Martin
  17. Hey keep out of my manner.. I want him off my patch
  18. Can anyone recommend a place where i can buy some talpex mole traps in the Surrey area (please dont say scats!) ATB Martin
  19. Not on a day like today it wont.. next to useless calibre in my opinion it completely lacks versatility and just became something 'trendy' to have, most people i know either dumped them or never bothered in the first place
