  1. I meant to add there are usually RFD 'fees' which the seller would have included in the asking price?
  2. Slingshot the transaction is between you and the seller, (you pay him/her) the RFD simply handles the transfer of the shotgun as there's distance involved. The seller delivers the shotgun to their local RFD who then sends it down to the RFD of your choice the details of which you give the sellers RFD. Just a word of caution, if your not happy with the shotgun for whatever reason you have little or no comeback on a private sale just the goodwill of the seller, unlike buying from a commercial outlet (or an RFD) where you have the usual rules of sale.
  3. In addition as has been said check your customer is right about when they arried, i know of someone who got this wrong and trying to clean up x amount of kilos of honey from a front room is no fun.
  4. +1 For the wildcat very light and a noticeable difference from the others I've tested in noise reduction.

  6. Strikes me you have a very narrow view and very little experience, either or both, and/or simply can't shoot straight! There is a lot of argument... and you check distance and wind drift with EVERY calibre, or do you believe that is only necessary with rimfires?!! What is a fox calibre, who are you to decide, I shoot loads of foxes with rimfires of all sorts and they work, so they are a fox calibre...right! Don't give me this bull that you need a centrefire, and don't come out with some crap about a dedicated fox calibre. I have shot fox with virtually everything between
  7. Get a fox calibre its simple! I can't stand reading this crap about conditions being right and we all know people will push the boundaries. Have a little professionalism and humaneness and make sure you do everything you can to lessen the chances of the animal suffering or being injured. "Oh look there's a fox... hmm it's night time let me assess the distance oh and with this pissy little round i better check wind drift too, ah seems ok, fire!" Let me put it another way... if someone is going to shoot me I want them to get the job done, not die later through wounding or suffocate on bl
  8. An all too common scenario...... he might well be 'an experienced buisnessman' but dont allow him to dictate how you work (dont worry we all run into them) Take charge of the situation.
  9. Dido on these sort of jobs I don't charge but insist on being mentioned on the will.
  10. Nice... i'd love a spot of camping and fishing
  11. Disgraceful! Sell all your gear and go and stand in the corner.
  12. I normally get my putanges from a well known source on here but because of the exchange rate none are being ordered, if i ask extra nicely is anyone prepared to sell me some (bottle at Christmas and other forms of bribery considered)
  13. Had a referral from Paul yesterday (Hampshire Wasp) busiest so far.
  14. Just patience crosshair he'll be there if you plan and bait your chosen spot, although I love foxes my job is to cull them but i'll never shoot a fox i'm not required to. I'm sure this little one was put away quickly no stress no suffering
  15. I picked one up and donated it to the other half to observe what gets around the horses and the copse. They have a password feature so useless if stolen
  16. Phil where are you again i'm moving!
  17. No problem with hearing this feedback its all good
  18. Maybe I can pass some work on. As we know its all been said before and stuff like this can be found anywhere, its just there to put in some extra content. We know the webpage has some adjustments to be made we haven't gone out and spent 5k and said its perfect
  19. Thankyou mate. I'll need to speak to the administrator but yes its built with adding more content in mind, cheers. We elected to put where i'm based as a sort of capture area as opposed to an actual address and yes the landline can be added. I'm fully insured including business shooting insurance through Hiscox.
  20. Should be all sorted now mate. Your site looks good Iain, you should be able to access the link now. Where abouts are you mate?
  21. Just had a basic website built very kindly by a friend in order to get some 'web presence' and hopefully some work coming in. Really pleased with it as a starter with a view to adding bits over time and expanding it. What are your thoughts http://surreywaspandmole.com/
