    Hi Striker, where in Ayrshire are you? I use PPU, great bullets in both 22-250 and 243. Forget all the crap quality talk, PPU manufacture bullets for Lapua amongst other and also the US military.

    For this to work you need a multi pronged approach. Nest/Egg removal, birds need to be flown all day and if possible some culling. One year wont do it, needs to be constant 3 years or so.

    You can shot steel thru tighter than half. As for range, 3 days ago, using 28g 7s, I dropped a pigeon at 71 paces, and regularly drop them upto 50. Steels faster, therefore your lead needs to be adjusted accordingly.

    I set mine tight against a wall, then some bricks round the edges. Many times ive had the trap sprung by the fox trying to his paw in thru the mesh to drag the bait closer. Make it so the door is the only way he can get the bait. If its wanting it, itll go in, so have it live as soon as you set it.
