  1. aye up guys any one tried these pellets jsb exact monster .22 at 25.39g thinking of trying some , my gun runs at 30flbs just wondering if these pellets are designed for guns that more powerful ? as they look more like a bullet than a pellet cheers shergar
  2. aye up there both great guns and you won't regret getting either , I would go for the 410 just because I am not keen on the buddy bottle but that's just me, also the 410 is really easy to work on just depends if you want to service it yourself , have a shoot with both and get what suits you sir ohh
  3. but what to do about it, do you report him to the rspb and get him prosecuted but then it just gives them ammunition against all us responsible gun owners
  4. just got one last week and is white , more than the colour it's what's stamped on it I thought was most important
  5. pictures please love to see the ultra with the shroud
  6. from where I live if your further south than Doncaster you might as well be a cockney , cor blimey have a banana and that
  7. aye up I agree with si , the older uk made models are better , my friend had a new one and it kept shearing stock bolts and smashing scopes, maybe he had bought a lemon ,lets hope yours is ok . my advice would of been buy a hw95 in 177 . shergar
  8. yeah there are on the long side , suppose you could always fix a bayonet in case you run out of air
  9. aye up the new bsa lightning's are a pile of crap , a friend had one and after it smashed a scope the safety catch broke , sent it back and got another and it kept smashing the stock bolts at the fore end so sent that one back and got another same thing again , having said that I have had one for over 16 years and not had a problem but the recoil on the new guns compared to my old one is horrendous leave well alone , as for the theoben don't know much about em and if parts are easily available . personally I would get a hw95
  10. nutella mixed with veg oil works a treat for me , I keep a few chickens and had seen signs of rats so one night I put some of the mixture out and went back to my shooting position switched my night vision on and the little buggers where already there lapping it up , they must of come out as I was walking away , so I fed em some lead
  11. is your tx200 sub 12ft lbs think maybe these pellets are designed for fac
  12. as Geoff.223 says , I do the same and had no problems
  13. if you lose that much money selling a FAC air rifle why not convert it back to 12ftlb ? seen some rapids for sale think are mk1 for around 5-600 quid some a bit more , not sure if there worth that as one was 16 year old, a brand new air arms s510 extra fac is 620 . not had anyone's views on this rifle yet where's the best place to look for second hand rapid ? cheers shergar
  14. right ok well I put down for a .22 precharged air rifle with sound moderator on my variation . I know what you mean there are a few areas on my permissions where shooting my rim fire is not allowed and you can't really shoot crows and the like out of tree tops and I know I will get plenty of use out of it . I like the idea of the adjustable power as with the air arms for shooting round buildings just tweak the power down and a quick re zero , not sure how this works in practice wonder if anyone on here has one and how well does it work in the field? cheers shergar
  15. with the rapid what should I be looking for as I know nowt about em and how much should I be paying for a good one because the ones I have seen second hand don't seem that cheap and for less money I could get a s510 brand new, don't really fancy a r10 as I don't think the quality is there with bsa, so looks like it's between the rapid or air arms, with regards sound moderators for fac air rifles do you use ones say for rim fires or are the non proofed ones ok cheers shergar
  16. aye up chaps I was looking for a sub 12ftlb pcp but now have put in a variation for a fac one . just wondered what you guys think of the rifles below in fac air arms s510 / 410 extra fac rapid 7 / 12 bsa r10 cheers shergar
  17. I really like the look of the air arms and once I found the sweet spot could live with 25 full power accurate shots as I will we using for vermin control . how much would it cost to get a reg fitted shergar
  18. was thinking about the s510 with the adjustable power
  19. cheers lads going to go for the 4-16 for the .22lr but have changed my mind on the 12ft lb pcp I was going to buy now want a fac one . shergar
  20. looks great that cz in camo which mamba 3-12x44 or the 4-16x50 I fancy the latter . do you use it with night vision or just with your lamp cheers shergar
  21. aye up looks great , is that an ej230 camera your using and how many yards can you see out to? looking to do something on the same lines as that , at the moment iam using a 540tvl sony ccd camera board with the ir block filter removed but looking to upgrade . shergar
  22. would prefer adjustable mag but fixed mag would be ok , I have no complaints with the hawke scopes just fancy something better to go on my rimmie and use the hawke scopes on my air rifle , whats the best magnification to use on a .22lr cheers shergar
  23. aye up guys at the moment I have a hawke hd 4-12x50 ao ir on my .22lr , I was going to put this scope on a 12ftlb pcp air rifle ( once I have decided which one to go for ) so looking for a new scope for my rimmie I like the look of the mtc scopes just wondered what magnification would be best either the 4-16x50 mamba or the viper 6-24x56 or would this be a bit over kill with the hawke I usually have set at x10 mag so me thinking the mamba would be ok and are these ok to use with night vision ad on's , what do you guys think thanks shergar
  24. aye up could be any of the seals, but a friend had the same happen to his ultra se it turned out to be the seal on the pressure gauge , have you tried filling to see where it's leaking from?
