    Fair enough Dan, I was gutted when i found out about my Lightning and it cost me around £40 sale difference. Is it easy to tell the scope rail difference as the one on my old Supersport still looks identical to the one above from the pictures.

    Are you 100% sure that its a Lightning as i bought an identical looking gun from a 2nd hand shop being told it was a lightning and then a few years later tried to sell it on a forum. After various dicussions on the thread about how the earlier lightnings were different from the one i was selling i conacted the BSA team with the serial number and was told i in fact owned a Supersport. If you have had this clarified then fine however if not then it might be worth while contacting BSA as im sure you wouldnt want to sell someone the wrong gun.

    To be fair I don't really think it makes that much of a difference as I was so happy with the gun for all those years thinking it was a Lightning and the shooting and power between the two are not that much different however I was a bit miffed when I found out I had been sold something different. here is the link for BSA you can email and they will clear it up enquiries@bsaguns.com

    Is it definitely a Lightning as I had the exact same looking rifle that I put up for sale at the start of the year and someone asked the same question (I bought it from a shop quite a few years before being told it was a lightning) so I emailed BSA the code on the barrel and was told it was a Supersport.

    Hi Andy, Thanks for the reply, yes he has and its still the same, it doesnt happen every time (say once every 5) and the tip of the rod seems to be going into the pellet chamber straight it just seems like there is an issue with the area housing the bolt rod.

    Good Morning, My brother in law (who has not got a clue about computers ect) has asked me to seek out any advice (and possible solution) regarding a problem he has with his AA S410. Its pretty simple really, when sliding the bolt action back in to load the pellet it gets jammed (the bolt) and stops around a 1/2 inch from the home position. I have looked around online and can see that there have been some people with issues regarding the multi magazine but he is sure it has to do with the bolt action. Any advice would be well received.     Hi Porkybella, Was just about to post an ad for my .22 BSA Supersport carbine, comes with brand new CVLife 3-9 x40 illuminated scope and standard silencer. It was manufactured in 2002 in Birmingham (i have email confirmation of this from BSA as i origionally thought for years it was a lightning) has usual wear for its year buit still decent conndition and I still love this gun but have decided to buy a PCP and am well short of my £400 target price so its got to go.     Evening Gents, I have just registered to this forum and thought i would say hello. I currently live in Merseyside (30 months) but am origionally from north of the border and until recently the only outdoor sports i did was fishing however I have over the last couple of months gone out with my bro in law with the air rifles and found i have now been bitten by the bug.
