  8. like everyone i have a favoured pattern that works for me , the one thing i suggest is you dont over stock your pattern i start with 13 full body decoys and add a few birds when i send my spaniel for a retrive. hope this helps
  9. evening , in my view whereyou set up depends on a few things , the most important in my mind being wind direction , whenever i set a hide up i make sure that the targets are upwind from me ie the wind hits them before me that way they cant smell you , you also need to make sure you dont stray any of your boundrys , make sure your close enough for a clean kill however far away enough to challenge your abilities. and make sure your comfortable because you mite be spending a while prone. hope this helps you out and good luck .
  10. evening all , went out around 11 friday night , saw nothing in the 60 acre block i shoot on the farm i look after ,walking back to the house and theres charlie and his mrs sat on the silage pit next to my house think its more about the luck of the draw this time of year plus the lady down the lane feeds foxes from her back door (madness) so there fairly tame . as for the time of day i can usually squeak a charlie or two anywhen between dusk and dawn although they are plentyfull round here .
