I’ve just recently returned to carp fishing after thirty odd years of barely wetting a line ( save for a couple of jaunts to the Ebro) , and to walk into a tackle shop and see where carp fishing had moved onto was staggering , I’ve never seen anything like it , carp fishing had gone from a pastime to a bloody science ! Where I went in to sort some line , hooks etc , I was still going to use my thirty year old rods , the sight of a million types of hook , every type of line from normal to braid to coated braid to shitcovered fast sinking stick up a fishes arse braid was to much , the two young

I’ve shot around there for many years , in fact one of my permissions backed onto Sheffield Park , I wouldn’t bother buying anything , the place is running with deer and on a small plot a bit of time & observation will be all you need .If it’s anything like mine you can see as easily as anything where they are walking out and what time ..if I was shooting my place , which like yours was only small , I’d be in one of the two seats at least an hour and a half before dark , and just wait it out . Found this one in the pool at the apartment , it belonged to next door .It could only have fell of the roof onto the grass , how it survived the fall I don’t know , it couldn’t have fallen into the pool . I don’t think they live in salt water .. get some strange things in the pools out here mate , my neighbour found a dead wild boar a couple of years back ...

I get that Wilf , but he’s exactly the same , if not worse , he was at the for front of policy ideas , he was the gangmaster that bullied and sidetracked any opposition and kept everyone in check .Don’t get me wrong , I do believe what he’s saying but he’s the sort that during the war would point out his Jewish neighbours to save himself ..If at the time he had resigned his job I’d listen , he’s only suddenly got a conscience because he’s got vindictive .He couldn’t care less about anyone let alone the average British bloke .

We get loads of them , If you fish ordinary line they just bite straight through it , which does save you having to get them of and kill them ..poxy things .
