We paid £318 a thousand for 34gr5 ...That was up about £30 on last year .

When god created the heaven and earth he had built a powerful thirst so he rang his mates Bill and Ralph and asked them what they had in the chiller , fcuk me your in luck said Ralph we’ve just knocked up a proper thirst quencher , he sent god a few cases and God declared it he’s favourite brew . The rest of the Bill and Ralph Foster story will remain for another day ...?

Had a little go today J ,shot 39 , picked up 35 and a couple of pigeons ..once I had a couple for the ff5’s they pulled them in really well ..The other lad I had out hit 52 ..so wasn’t a bad exercise in corvid control .The first of the ducks are in so it’s starting to gear up , the crows will be hitting the cover crops , feeders and just about anywhere they can nick an easy meal over the next few months so should be plenty of opportunities..talking of opportunities I must make a mental note not to leave my half eaten cheese roll on the chair while I take a shot , especially when the labrodog i

Me and you both ! Jackdaws on a bit of a wind are as sporting as it gets ...so far two out of three have called in sick ..

I’m out on them tomorrow , all of a sudden there’s hundreds everywhere , mainly on the early cover crop and some of the areas being mowed in before they replant ...hopefully a couple of the lads get out to cover the bases , trouble is getting people that actually come and stick it out is hard work , if it was pigeon I’d have a cue a hundred yards long

Referendum....Does Scotland want to remain part of the UK ? ,,,,Answer YES Referendum ....Does the UK want to leave the European Union..Answer ..YES Nowhere on the ballot paper did it say in the event of the political class not getting there wishes fulfilled we must vote again until they are .. People have voted on these issues , they have given their answer ...ITS OVER . Or should be .

Forget the chippy , go to the tapas bar on the steps in the old town ...? edited to say you will be lost for choice with restaurants and watering holes , it’s endless and September is a cracking time , everything is calming down after the summer rush .The weather is normally in the mid to high twenty’s..

Shame that tines busted mat it’s a nice symmetrical head . Good weight for a roe but a truck to hang it ? Shredded wheat mate not weetabix ..was that the 6.5 , made a tidy size hole ..

That old boys an inspiration.. Suppose if there’s any plus side to loosing your real legs is you get to decide how tall you want to be on your new ones , the old boy looks like he might have added a tidy few inches ..?
