At the moment there is a glut of venison , prices are at the lowest I’ve ever seen them ..I was quoted 75p lb before Christmas ( when the price usually is at its best ) that is reallydog meat money ...most non hunting shooting fishing types haven't got a clue about game meat and wouldn’t even try it let alone buy it ..their happy with bland factory reared chicken wrapped in polystyrene and cling film .. The big supermarkets are bringing venison in from NZ , I think this year it’s up around 5-7 thousand tons , sadly the supermarkets aren’t interested in our wild sourced deer because they h

These smart motorways are that good they have decided to stop building them , there is obviously a problem with safety with both types , the ones where the hard shoulder is used as a running lane in busy times is confusing people and two or three deaths have occurred when people had a slight accident , got out of the cars and where hit by other vehicles , the other type seem just as dangerous were there are refuges you can pull into providing your car hasn’t broke down between them ..seems like the old job of over complicating something trying to save money ..

Many years ago we went to see Freddie star and as was fairly common at the time he never showed up , in his place as a late stand in was Ken Dodd ....the groans from the audience was testament to their thoughts ..Ken Dodd did four hours solid , they had to almost drag him of the stage , he had the entire place in hysterics , he was absolutely brilliant and a true comedian ..nothing like his tv act he told jokes about everything without doing the crude stuff ..Ken Dodd was a genius .. Old time favourites , Big Yin , Mike Reid , Jimmy Jones , current favourite Micky Flanagan ..
