  1. Hi mat This bit is only small , around 200 acres but its a good mix , bit of arable,(70 acre red clover) bit of grass & woodland (60acre) so its quite good.At times there are a lot on there , same time you might not see any .They were hitting the wheat the other year with a vengence ,thats in clover now for 2 years (this is 2nd year) and i noticed the other day the 1st signs of growth so will be keeping an eye out .I left that buck because it is the only decent one i've seen, the fact it was so good was a bonus, all the others whilst big animals ,have head that are all spikes & fishtail
  2. Thanks for that , dont know if it would work here, clearing woodland & planting crops i could see the odd problem ,thats if you could find a 1000 acre plot to start with ! Nice post thanks ....keep working .
  3. Hi Art ,how does the club work , how many people involved, what sort of acreage does the club control, what type of land, ie farmland, forrestry, what spieces of deer, what sort of numbers, ...........................etc etc etc ..............you can by all means answer all these questions over 2 or 3 different posts ....allways nice to see how other people do the job & enjoy thier sport ... thanks i enjoy your posts .

  5. Hi Dan If you assume that EVERY round you fire will ricochet then shoot with the right backstop you wont have a problem !! Safety is paramount .
  6. Brewman it dont get better than that ..nice one !!!
  7. Andrew ,i never gained any extra land just the right to cross it , but that gives me a big advantage when we have a north wind. dont have to walk down the boundry and across to keep the wind right,i can now get in the wood by a direct route.
