The Spanish youngsters are as bad if not worse than the kids at home , even the Spanish adults think nothing of dropping paper bottles etc , it’s a bit like the uk in the fifties and sixties .. This car park is opposite a night club , the four nights a week it’s open this is what they leave ..at the end of the car park just out of view are four huge bins ..July and August sees it twice as bad ..the council come round at first light and clear up ..it’s mental how they let them get away with it ..

The Arms industry along with the Energy industry must be rubbing their hands ..Can you imagine the funding and rebuilding contracts that will be on offer ..All the aid being given won’t be without strings I’m sure ..

That happened a lot years ago out here , the land got passed down through the family , the sons got all the good and valuable farmland , the daughters got the scrub land by the coast …fast forward seventy years and their are some seriously wealthy old women out here .A front line building plot in Javea starts at seven figures ..

Years back when I used to be up and down the old A13 , there was a little nick by the lights at Rainham , the other side of the lights a chap had a house , there was a long strip of waste land that run for for a good couple of hundred yards with scrub trees and bushes to the front , over the course of a few years bit by bit he was moving his fence and adding it on to his place .One night on our way back with the dogs we actually watched him move the posts , he’d cut the vegetation back just four or five yards , uprooted the old posts and moved them , used the old wire and when I drove by next

I think the fallow and muntjac have had a fairly easy time over the last couple of years , from my pals reports a lot of the surrounding land took next to nothing deer wise and numbers have clearly increased , bit like the time of the foot & mouth outbreak a few years back where the fallow had a fabulous breeding season , down in our part of Sussex the numbers spiralled because nobody could get out , The Ashdown forest was completely out of bounds ,even the road casualty numbers ,which were normally in the hundreds dropped significantly because the deer weren’t under any pressure to move .

The pal that took over my stalking was offered twenty pence a lb , halfway through the season the game dealer didn’t want any .He found a local butcher that started taking some and he started making burgers sausages etc rather than waste it , given he had to continue culling albeit on a reduced scale , he did very well out of the produce , second season the butcher took virtually every beast he shot , given these were mostly head and neck shot and had been hung in the cold room for at least a week so he was getting prime carcasses , he clearly had a clientele for them , and he collected ..This

Alas I know plenty of experienced stalkers , some of thirty year standing , but leaving it to them would show scant progress .You need competent , willing and enthusiastic people , when I was culling I eventually built up a small dependable group of shooters who turned up when asked , or where ringing me for times even when it was freezing cold , pouring rain or stupid o’clock in the morning , people who stuck to the plan , stayed where put , and shot what they were told to shoot . It’s the recoil from the gun , 12g is way to much gun , four ten is perfect .My pal who had MN looked into it before doing the deed , when diagnosed with it he said the day he couldn’t wipe his own arse would be his last , it was ..brave man .

£54 million ..peanuts compared to what the oil and energy companies are ripping us of for ..Shell £9BILLION profit in the second quarter , BP £6BILLION profit second quarter , Exon £15BILLION profit inthe second quarter , the highest quarterly profit ever recorded by an oil company ..that alone is almost five times the $3.4 billion the US has given aid to Ukraine … In just the last twelve weeks just these three oil companies have taken £30BILLION profit ..that’s without all the other oil and energy companies all racking up record profits ..these global companies are rinsing us big time .

Almost 70;…that’s my three score years and ten done with ..it’s borrowed time after that ..had a new knee a few years back , but everything else is still working , just not so much ..?

That’s the one ..comizo ..I’ve talked to a Spanish fella that used to take a trip done there every year , whilst he’d show you all the pictures and tell the tales he wouldn't give up a single clue on baits or locations ..His best was 13.4kg ..his fishing mate had one at 14.9kg ..

They do have some exceptional barbel fishing around Extramadura , fish nudging 40lb …?

At the time our guide was telling us there was no laws regarding the removal of carp and catfish , the Eastern Europeans were taking them on a commercial basis ..As for fishing in Spain it’s a nightmare , where we were fishing at a reservoir 99.9% of the fish caught were carp , the valencian bailiff came round and told us to kill any carp we caught , along with any bass as they were non native , when I asked what were native to the water he said barbel ..in all the years I’ve fished it I’ve never seen a barbel let alone catch one ..Forty miles in the opposite direction we fish the Jucar river

This was out the Ebro 168lb ..put up a tidy scrap ..we had quite a few over the hundred on a five day trip . Fishing near Caspe with Dream Carp fishing , we had quite a few over the 100lb .The only downer was the amount the Eastern Europeans were killing , literally ever fish they caught , carp and cat were put on a stringer then when the fridge van came down they were killed and carted off .The amazing thing there was no law against it , talk about kill the golden goose , this was a few years back and you can’t wonder the best years are gone ..
