I had loads of trouble with my 10/22 mags ,allways with sub sonic ,drove me mad ,got rid of it ,gone back to bruno ,peace ahas been restored....

Where we are in sussex its fallow that are in big numbers ,the muntjac are starting to appear but the estates i shoot for dont want them first or last ,one in particular is addament every one that is seen has to go.We do have roe but i only take a few.The fallow i'm on virtually non stop .The piece of land next to mine the guy that has the stalking (which he paid a fortune for) only shoots half a dozen times a year ,normally during the rut ,never when its cold or wet & not really bothered about the doe's.As far as he's concerned he 's bought the right to go out when he wants .His land owne

the one ,i think half the time there talking through there arse.the other half there talking shite ,theres no access to huge tracks of land both private & public how in hell is anyone going to co ordinate a cull ....who is going to do it ,? They cant co ordinate a badger cull let alone a deer one .....Anything government lead is sure to be a cock up. Can anyone see a government led cull that upsets public opinion,land owners,councils,etc .I cant ...and i for one would'nt want to be part of any out of season ,night time free for all ........

Its ok calling for a cull but if you cant get access to the land what can you do,were i live several fairly large farm sold up ,this land mainly went to people who were willing to pay premium money for a few acres , nomally for horses but some just to have the pleasure of owning a bit of land ,small holders etc.Where before the land was farmed & the deer numbers kept to an economically acceptable level the new owners are happy to see a few deer or lots of deer because it has no serious repercutions to them.One of my neighbours bought 30 acres to have as a wildlife haven ,what was a couple

Having got home earlier than expected i rang my old mate to see if he was free to come out and sit up in one of the seats 5 min up the road at a little 200acre place i shoot.Four o clock we had a quick coffee loaded the quad ,various bit of kit &the dog left my place at quarter past four & were in the seats by four thirty,warm with a slight southerly i fancied the deer would be moving early.I was in the paddock seat my mate in the clearfell in the wood.Walking to the seats there was fresh slot just about every where.Earlier this morning on my way out i'd seen several deer cross the roa

One of the places i manage the deer is a chicken farm, i was originally asked to have a go at the foxes & given the fact he has 70,000 free range chicken you can see why hes a tad cautious about charlie.the chicken are obviously fenced but every now and then one finds its way in and it ends up carnage.Anyway,allthough not that big a place you cant help noticing the deer slot everywhere ,when i mention this to him he said i'm running alive with them ,when we first moved here we used to see a few but now they are evertwhere ,every thing my wife plants during the day they pull up at night ,He

I have only been on this site a very short while(never been into computers) but there is loads of great info to be had.Ive shot & fished for 30 odd years,got terriers(sorry 1 ) & many years ago running dogs & it gives a good bite of all the sports,+the pisstake,craic & general banter.I wonder if the people who recon its going downhill have just got used to how good it is ?
