curtis i got to add this to your argument but not all pits are suitable for lurcher production,i would also like to ask you what is the difference between a apbt and a genuine working stafford ie what other breeds are used in there make up to make them different,i can add this i know the difference in the majority of the two breeds when it comes to structure or build but that is the majority not all. Hi thanks for your reply. Yes i see your point, they are several breeds claiming to be pit bulls. Staffordshire Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, American Pit Bull terriers, American

show me 1 game staff and you will change my mind

and the irish got rid of the staffs because they could not compete against the apbt.

Why would you need "gameness" in a lurcher????? Theres NO quarry in this country that requires a lurcher to be game !!! why would you need a lurcher to be game? are we talking bullgreyhounds or lurchers? if a bull greyhound is not game what use is it? i'm confused. A bull x greyhound IS a lurcher and I'll ask you again WHY does a lurcher need to be game? if its not game will not have the pray drive to hunt also squirrells do bite and you can hunt those within the law of hunting with dogs Squirrels are illegal to hunt with dogs and prey drive and gameness are NOT the same. So w

awesome dogs lad's. Also do you's never change from raw food? i also just do kibble untill a show is in the wings then i go raw maybe 8 weeks out pre show i'm still a novice in conditioning and reading my dog but you lads seem to have it on key with running your dogs almost all the time, also it must be good for your dogs to live of the land nothing fresher then the food they have caught.

the pit dog was made from the terrier and originally where made for ratting they where threw in a pit to fight rats and the dog who killed the most rats placed higher in the match. but i may be wrong.

the lad is clearly stateing that his dog runs any QUARY so there for i'm guessing that mean anything includeing RABBITS. good luck with your sale buddy.
-
Good thread i will be interested to see what people have to say about this surely condition will pay a considerable factor in the terriers also.
-
Hi just thort i would start a thread as i have not yet. Does condition matter a considerable amount in the field? if so how do you no when your Lurcher/fielddog is in tip top condition other then the obvious there look do you no how to read your dog well? so you no of there physical condition how there running and when there blowing out? what food do you feed kibble/raw what works best, i no what works best for me but i'm asking for what works best for the running lurcher/greyhound. what kibble is best how much do you feed etc etc,Post some pictures of your condition'd Hounds .
