Put my hands up; I wouldn’t have known it from an early army issue Webley. It was featured in March edition of Airgun World. Regards, Steve

Looks like a Gem style Jean Marck No 2 target rifle made in Belgian. Regards, Steve

Never Send A Woman To Buy An Hw98....
A1WOC replied to Marksman's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Mechanical must mean it's a springer! Regards, Steve. -
Thanks for the reassurance; SFS’s renowned service is echoed on here by many experience marksmen like you, Si & Davy, to name a few. Regards, Steve.

Nice account of your experience, it will make Pro Sport owners examine theirs for the same fault. Let’s hope Air Arms R&D is doing something about it to prevent it happening again. With reference to the HW97; I left my new one with SFS yesterday for a stage 2 tune. They come highly recommended and I haven’t heard a bad report about them yet! Regards, Steve

Tx200Hc Under Lever Movement
A1WOC replied to Bunnygopop's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Just had a look at mine, the arm moves about 2mm each way making the total movement 4mm from side to side, nothing to worry about in my opinion. Regards, Steve -
I first heard about her through a mate, claiming she was a beautifully formed temptress of Germanic origin. Well, my wife isn’t keen on my dalliances I must admit, but temptation was irresistible on this occasion. I began my search for her and after several hours of phone calls and web crawling I finally discovered her setting, she was only a short distance away, so I immediately set out for a clandestine meeting. Arriving at her location I was greeted by her keeper, he led me to a secure room, there I found her in chains; she was standing tall, and orderly placed on full naked view along

Nice one! Have you seen the Ultra SE review Zini (Vermin Hunters TV) made a few weeks ago?

After about 300 firing cycles, my new .22 TX200HC chronograph reading was averaging 10ftlb; with AA Field 16g pellets. After a strip down, clean and a little polishing to the compression tube and spring ends, re-lube and assemble etc; and a further 50 firing cycles, the chronograph reading is now 11.3ftlb; with the same AA pellets. I must admit I hadn’t noticed any difference to the overall feel my TLC made; however, POI groups are a little tighter, but this may be down to me getting used to the rifle as well as the fettle. The TX200 is certainly a very easy to work on. The only tools needed

Sounds like a handy addition; you could also use it bludgeon wounded prey.

You may wish to add a second hand Brocock Contour to that list, a very accurate and light PCP. Regards, Steve

Over the past few days I have been thinking about buying a .177 HW 97KT. This morning I succumbed to temptation and rang around my local RFDs for availability and price. I started with the closest RFD, Belper Tackle & Gun; a pre-recorded message explained the shop was open but understaffed due to illness, with no one answering; at that point I hung up and widened my search to several other RFDs, only to be told none in stock. Two shops offered to contact HC on Tuesday, to order one, but I declined their kind gesture as I would have liked one today. By this time I knew the best price to pay

Opinions On The Power Of Air Rifles
A1WOC replied to open season's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Morals and respect are not the responsibility of the schools but of the parents. My parents taught the right way to behave not the schools, trouble is to day there is to many Broken homes and the parent's just don't give a Shit , this is going from one generation to generation I fully agree parental responsibility is paramount in society; but in recent years parents or guardians along with the schools are very restricted in what punishment they may mete out. This has encouraged youngsters to push their luck to get away with that bit extra. I work part time as a relief caretaker at my lo -

A1WOC replied to A1WOC's topic in General Airgun Discussion

I’ve just watched The Hunting Life Forum October Charity Air Rifle Meet; produced and posted on youtube by Vermin Hunters TV. It looks as though it was a good crack for those attending, and I was wondering if there are any plans for another one this year? Regards, Steve

Lots more snow again, and still unable to get out to test myTX200 after the strip down; stir crazy comes to mind this weekend! It’s too cold to go into my workshop to do anything; so I spent a couple of good hours earlier watching my son and granddaughter build two enormous snowmen. Following that I watched a flock of starlings gather in my neighbour’s oak tree, prior to swooping down on our bird feeders and devouring the handfuls of mealworms put out for the local song bird population. Mid afternoon and still feeling bored; I conditioning oiled the stock, lightly machine oiled the moving part

K denoted Karbine (shorter), S denotes sporter stock, T denotes thumbhole stock; therefore a KT would be a Karbine with a thumbhole stock. When a HW100 is described as 100S; it is the standard length rifle with a sporter stock. All have the same action but the K versions have a shorter air cylinder. Regards, Steve

Bored silly and housebound due to todays heavy snow, I thought it would be a good opportunity to dismantle my new TX200HC to see how it works. Although its only a week old and still bedding in; when I had all the dismantled parts in front of me I couldnt resist a couple of tweaks, hopefully to make it a little smoother. A thorough de-grease, polish the compression tube and polish out the machine marks on the spring ends, re-grease and assemble back the parts. I wanted to keep it as near original for the remainder of the warranty period. As I write this the snow is still falling, so I am u

The rain showers eased off mid afternoon today so I decided to get a little outdoors practice with my new TX200HC. I set myself up at an old solid table and chair and used a bean bag to rest my left hand on. With the rifles balancing point supported on my cupped hand and the stock lightly resting between my shoulder and cheek, I spent a couple of minutes watching the target rise and fall through the 10x scope as I controlling my breathing. All this bought back distant memories of forty years past, but then I had a .762 Parker Hale fitted with front and rear aperture sights and the rifle s

Although I haven’t researched availability of tuning kits for the TX; I’m pretty sure they will be readily available. Most of the information I have gleaned about the TX is it’s sweet enough as it is; I certainly wouldn’t want to invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty by fitting one until the cover has expired. Only you know the value of your existing kit and if a swap is worthwhile. Regards, Steve

A brand new TX200HC may be bought from around £325 if you search around. I only had to make a 30 mile round trip to get one. Do a search on GunStar and you will see for yourself depreciation is minimal, no more and no less than comparative makes. Regards, Steve

Whats Happened To Friend Buster??
A1WOC replied to Tron's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Ashamed to say I sold it yesterday to go towards the new AA TX200HC. I will get far greater pleasure out of the TX though than I had out of the Brocock. My best regards Si. Steve. -
NiteSite have now introduced a lightweight battery that fits onto the rifle stock. Some members of this and other forums have been using imported LI Po batteries from China for some time, including myself too. The photo illustrates how they look when attached to the top of the camera module and connecting sleeve with adhesive backed velcro on my NS50 and also my home made setup. The coiled wire on the NiteSite has since been shortened to tidy it up. Regards, Steve

Whats Happened To Friend Buster??
A1WOC replied to Tron's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Now thats strange! Being a member of several forums, I found THL posts a very interesting, and regular mix of different related subjects, very helpful, informative and not monopolised by know it all and stand off regular contributors. Without the fear of being ridiculed, even lesser knowledgeable newbies questions are answered in a respectful way. Some of the banter exchanged may at times be flamed, but it soon cools down. Just my humble opinion. Regards, Steve I understand what your saying about newbies asking questions but it is the same question everywere 'what gun should I buy' 'what
