My ex mate had a real good going over yesterday by a few lads down here. The knackers who did it kept well out of the way due to the boys being a bit on the handy side. The dog was taken to the blue cross as it as not stopped bleeding. Got no pity for my ex pal, have more for the dog. Bloke is a complete twat, who took too much notice of "terrier" men from this manor who are full of shit.

A pal as justed been given a JRT x Plummer pup, the pup is 8 weeks old, but still as a tail, HE wants it docked. Live in Hampshire any suggestions before the twat tries it himself.

My Borders are not from any well known lines, did not pay a fortune for them but one thing they are and thats game little feckers. Do all I ask of them, rats, fox and bushing. Cannot ask for more. There are better breeds of dog out there bred for a single purpose, of which they excel. However my Borders do everything I want them to do, for this and this alone I think they are up there with the others. !

I have used my Ferts to rats, soon discovered it is a lottery with them. Lost some good ferts in the past to injury or just did not reappear. No longer rat with Ferts, smoke the feckers out and let the Terriers have them.

My Border pup (14 weeks) as gone of her food, I boil up a rabbit and she gets this ever other day, days in between dry food. Since Saturday she will not touch rabbit or the dry food, she went for three days without touching a bit, I tried a tin of the Butchers stuff, she sniffed and walked off. All she as eaten up until today is a Pork & Leek Sausage. !! She is full of life and active, but just not eating. This morning I gave her a bowl of tripe, she wolfed it down. ? Question, do I feed her tripe and mix abit of rabbit and see, can she just eat tripe, whats the best thing to do

Cannot agree more with above, this is a inherited condition and will be passed down. Have the single tackle that as not dropped removed and the dog will be fine.

Thanks for the replys, I don't think shooting the GSD would have helped, and I would have been in deep brown-stuff. The fact that my dogs managed to inflict a high degree of damage to the GSD should hopefully in the future stop it and it's owner from making the same mistake. Borders get on with most dogs from my owner experience, so it is a real shocker to have one of your own savage so badly. I dont blame the GSD, just the prick owner. My own vet bill came to £139, I would hate to think what the GSD was, from the amount of blood around it's face and neck region a lot more, but thats

Last Sunday (3rd) I was out with my bunch checking fencing around our fields, the top paddock as a lane running along the fence line which is busy especially on Sundays with people walking their dogs after they have sunk a large Sunday lunch. WE were minding our own business when out from the spinney a GSD comes rushing out and attacks my Border and gives it a real fecking drubbing, before I know whats happening this dog as ripped my Borders ear and neck open, thankfully my other Border and JRT are abit quicker than me and steam into the GSD inflicting much pain to this fecking thing, than

CULL EM!!.............. We could do with a cull here Wilf, this is a traditional seaside holiday town, and there are more ethnic takeaways than fish & chip shops! My sides are fecking hurting from all the laughing, if only all the posts had this degree of humour. The court does look shit, but the lad will learn from his mistakes like we all did. Looking for obtainable GOOD books on working Terriers, please do not suggest Sean Frain's The Traditional Working Terrier, like a mug I just brought a copy ( £2.00 ) and to be honest I think I have been ripped-off. Any advice really welcome.
