  15. Hi, Just left a pal who keeps his hobs together all year round. He has 4 adult hobs, all of which he works and uses to cover his jills. He keeps the hobs paired of, two are brothers, the other father & son. They appear to be settled and he assures me that he gets no problems. ? Does anyone else do this, I have always kept my hobs seperated. Smudger
  16. Here in Hampshire I hear the term “whippet ferret†all the time, I’ve been out with the boys and to be honest the “whippet ferrets†always look half starved to me. ! My last litter produced 7 good hard working jills, to look at them you would never believe they were sisters, the difference in size is noticeable, this is either a fluke of nature or certain jills are more dominant in their feeding habits :thumbs-up: My observations only.
  17. Twice, just in case you miss the first time.
  18. Shredded paper / hay I was told not to use shredded paper especially if it has ink on it. !!
  19. Sorry mate, the dog as to go. Had a similar problem, however it did not result in the events you have encountered. My JR was snappy (as most are) however on two occasions he bit my son's hand, the first time not badly but caused a number of small puncture marks, the second was far worse inflicting a bad bite to the thumb. Up until that time my son and JR were inseparable. What changed, my JR matured and was no longer a pup and thought himself higher up in the pecking order in the Smudger household. The decision was not easy, but living with the possible results of a more savage attack made
  20. Cheers. Hopefully going to have a litter from each of them this year. Work like devils, no lie-up’s and for the past 3 years never killed below to my knowledge. Anyone in the Hampshire area interested will let you know when ready. Off down the pub for a pint of grog.

  23. David, I may have a bit of Saxon and a bit of this and that somewhere thats fine, but if us English b*****ds don't start standing up for our way of life, traditions and sense of identity no one will. And if it means having to put a few F*cks in who cares, it worth it. And the last time I checked, it was our Royal Family. Rant over,
