    I VE GOT THE SAME PROBLEM WITH AJILL I BRED 3 YEARS OGO, SHE SIMPLEY WILL NOT WORK , HER 2 SISTERS ARE GREAT LITTLE WORKERS. YEARS AGO I WOULD HAVE SHOT HER BUT I MUST BE GETTING SOFT IN ME OLD AGE LUCKILY IVE GOT PLENTY ROOM AND A FULL FREEZER SO SHE CAN STAY

    ferreting in upper teesdale today ,and had it much easier than of late,simply because the feilds have dried out enough to get the landy near the setts.i ended the day about 3ish and caught a dozen, i had one shallow dig that got me 2 rabbits, the new mk3 is starting to pay its way. any way i bumped into the farmer whose daughter is married to a keeper, and he told me that at bolton abbey estates they set the box traps for the fist time this season and took 1400 yes fourteen hundred rabbits the first night

    The best ferrets are the ones that chase rabbits out of the warren,load them on to the truck ,make you a cup of tea , then drive you home.

    great to see the young uns involved fire the spark while they are young,the memories will last forever

    ive never seen any one ratting with ferrets for yonks, we did loads of it many years ago .great sport once the ferrets learn thegame .It also got us lots of rabbiting permision some of which i still have 40 years on. but beware ferrets can die from rat bites often some time after the wound has healed

    oout today in buetiful north yorkshire, three novice jills and brand new mk3 locator,a nice dry day for a change, though a lot of the low lying setts were still very wet. i spent the day on a fairly steep wooded bank[much drier] and did quite a few smallish setts.Two of the young uns worked like demons, but the young poley drove me nuts,Finished the day with a dozen.Had two digs the mk3 took a bit of getting used to but was bang on when i got the knack of it. Walking back to the moter at dusk there was rabbits all over the place ,there has been no mxy whatsoever on this particular spot so an
