Problem is a whippet gases out when the greyhound is just getting going.
Prob best starting with a good proven grew to start a lurcher line.
Do love the greyhound thou there speed and there prey drive are hard to beat
Your right about the small dogs they definatly mistake them for prey.
When straight of the track anyway. Would be complete different it raised as a lurcher would
Will consider it if the deerhound turns out how I want. She still learning her trade at min and still switches off now and then. But if she turns out how I want then I just might. In another 3 years once proven a few seasons
The bull x is worth breeding from. He does everything asked just lacks that top end speed.
What is the preferred type of new lurcher? (Genuine question).
I myself run a half bull x and a deerhound 1st x.
Both keep me happy (sometimes lol) in there chosen field.
Would like to have a handy all rounder.
Gaffer off here has a good un bred by morton i believe. Getting on abit now but he has taken the lot.
Was a very fast dog in his day. Very versatile jukel.
I'd have one if I could find a genuine one.
Tyson fury is top class.
He might not be the most exciting boxer to watch but he is a top class BOXER. He's not a knockout artist or a slugger but he boxes Very well
Think as poaching pot filler dogs they are good. Just an honest all rounder.
They won't take 3/3 hares day in day out. they won't tackle 5 charlies a night etc.
But they will catch you a hare or 2, catch rabbits. Catch a fox and track many deer.
