    Mushy ,try a clothes line as a lead ,let him run so far to other dogs , then if doesnt respond yank him off his feet ,after a few times he should get the message, if this fails hang him from the clothes line and beat him to death .

    West ham , the first cup final I remember watching as a kid was 64 ,the year after they won the cup winners cup and the next year the world cup , I have got a soft spot for teams that play in claret and blue .I also have a lot of respect for Sunderland ,always thought they had decent support and were a good old fashioned club ,the bisto kid is fking that up a bit for me though. Burnley Aston villa Newcastle are other teams I have got a lot of time for .

    We will never know the whole , unvarnished truth , its all educated guesswork and supposition , part of the problem lies in the writers and authors of bygone times who sometimes didnt have a clue and plagarised each other until even the most unlikely stories became accepted as fact simply by being repeated enough over years ,another problem lies in the names /titles/labels we have always given our dogs ,were Bull terriers crossed with each other ,or was the name the result of breeding bulldogs on more terrier like lines ,were the smaller ,faster more terrier like bulldogs the ones that crosse

    Too much importance given to names/labels IMHO ,as for the Americans using different breeds to "fix a type " it doesnt sound right ,its an old ,oft quoted truism that " form follows function " ie you keep breeding the fastest dogs together you end up with a dog that looks like a greyhound , you contiually breed the best fighters ,you end up with a pitbull ,a performance breed is not a breed where people use outcrosses to get a look or type . I dont know for sure but I,m guessing that breeding the best bull baiters together would give you a dog similar in appearance to an APBT ,given that bull

    I once travelled 7 miles on bus ( by myself , no carer or anything ) to buy a pup ,when I got there after what must have been at least 45 minutes I realised I didnt have any money , so I had to make the return journey ( again on my own ) empty handed ,I waited for nearly 20 mins for the bus to take me home aswell !,,, what a day ! Now thats commitment.

    Maybe a great boxer and an entertainer but he was also a coward who refused to serve when drafted to the Vietnam war. So in his case not with guns.Think Elvis dodged the draft as well did he not?
