There was one for sale in march 2010 this was the description (almost mint,it is very hard to say mint but this is as new it came with no certificate or box,but can be traced back by bsa i took it in a deal tonight at the club for 150,i dont really collect but this has to be very desirable to a collector t says on the side in laser etching (1959-1999 40th Anniversary Special Commemorative Edition) check out the pics although they're not the best it looks far better in the flesh so i'll take £150.00 posted rmsd 24 hr insured )

slave replied to Andy_c's topic in General Airgun Discussion
MTC are longer than 12 months too.... http://www.mtcoptics.co.uk/mtcTerms.htm When i brought mine i phoned sammie at Mtc who said the warranty was 12months just looked on their website in the mamba manual it says Your scope is guaranteed free of all defects for 3 years from date of purchase, and this warranty is transferable as long as we are informed at time of re-sale. http://www.mtcoptics.co.uk/technical/Manual_Mamba.pdf Maybe the more exspensive models have the 10 year warranty I just looked in my new MTC Viper 4-16 x 50 IRS manual and it doesn't even mention a warranty s -

A guy i know tried to staighten one on a webley vulcan after accidently firing it whilst cocking it the barrel looked like a banana and the scope flew off. After a couple of hours in the shed the barrel straightened up nicley but the gun never shot well at all he ended up selling it not long after. Give it a go but if it was my gun i would look for a second hand barrel.

Air Rifle Licensing Debate, Airgun Licensing
slave replied to Rabbiting man's topic in General Airgun Discussion
The Basc speaker at the debate estimated the cost of a licence to the applicant of £50 but it will cost the police £200 to issue each license so it will not generate any revenue. -

They are easy to reparallax but if it is returned under warranty for a "fogging" issue due to the gas escaping then it is not as its classed as deliberate damage. A reparralaxed scope has been returned and replaced no questions. I heard they are looking at offering the scopes pre set to AG ranges soon but if you can afford it get an Ao version

Vortex are huge in the Us and Canada the bdc ret is different but usable and the guarantee is unconditional http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FAbsgCeI2c And some companies are making some big claims(Vortex optics stood a cut above the rest. Manufacturers such as Leupold, Zeiss, Burris, Hawke and Nikon were all considered, but for best all round performance, Vortex were clear winners.)

Vortex make great scopes have a look at the diamondback with dead-hold ret this ret is a bdc ret the non ao versions have to be reparalaxed the entire range has a lifetime guaranteeotttthttp://www.riflecraft.co.uk/rifles/rifle-scopes-64.aspx?pageindex=1 this link explains the ret http://www.network54.com/Forum/451309/thread/1370310388/Vortex+diamondback+bdc+reticle

With a starting price of two grand for a rifle that's only good for between 22 to 35 shots??!! Gun porn's all well and good but this one's shot it's load far too early. I agree the shot count is low but with the optional field top up bottle it wouldn't be a problem
