Hi all, Went out for a few hours today with my friend ryan, i woke up at 6:00 and when we got to the farm it was still dark ! We had 3 rabbits in total but one was a bit "mixified", but all in all it was a good day out although we wasnt out for the whole day so wernt dissapointed with our catch. My ferret Ozzy holding the "scabby" rabbit and my new Mk3 i had for christmas . Luke

Hi everyone, I have just got a new jill for breeding with my hob to get some working kits, ive got working homes for 6 of them and ill be having 1 or 2. Its my first time doing anything like this with ferrets and i am completely clueless as to what you have to do to breed them. So i was wondering if any of you have had any experience with this or if anyone could guide me to another thread with any info on breeding ferrets. Any info like when can i breed them, how do i do it, how long will it take for the jill to give birth, etc... is much appreciated. Regards, Luke.

my best hob is about 1 and a half years old and he will be good until hes about 5. they dont mature until they are about 1 year old and dont work propery until then inmy experience with ferrets . Luke.

Hi all, Ive been hearing alot about Polecat - Ferret hybrids recently and my friend says he knows someone who catches wild polecats and breeds them with his normal ferret . Has anyone heard of this or ever owned a pure polecat? Also, are there any diferences between true polecats and ferrets e.g. larger, etc... apart from the fact that polecats are wild? And one more question, if you released your ferret could it survive perfectly OK in the wild? Luke.

very true .i have noticed thicker coats on my ferrets this yer too...probably beacause of early frosts. anyway,im going to start him working soon and cut down on thair food.thanks everyone!!!!
