    I'm guessing your not that long in the game either mate Nope not that long mate. I'm not saying their anything wrong with a whippet my mate has one and it's like a bullet but to buy one they cost a bomb unless you're lucky. Whereas a lurcher you can get for next to nothing.

    A whippet is a good little rabbiting dog and you are allowed to catch rabbits with them aslong as you have permission from the land owner with the permission your hunting on. Also as for slipping 2 dogs on 1 rabbit that's just stupid. You should always single slip on a rabbit. I'm guessing your obviously new to hunting so a whippet wouldn't be a bad choice for a first dog, however they can be costly. A good collie x grey would do the job just as good as a whippet in my opinion.

    It's been used for a while now and theirs nothing wrong with the lamp its just the switch is very sticky and its really doing my head in whilst out lamping. Is their a way i can sort this out? Or could you tell me how i could change the switch if i need to get a new one. Thanks.

    It does mate just finished a good season with it then. But to be honest i'm just gonna go for a bitch and seperate them when she is in season. Thanks anyway lads. How are you going to separate dog and bitch if you don't have another kennel in the first place? Bring one in the house? Not house trained? To be honest i didn't really think of that, i would just separate the run i think mate.

    Good running dog mate pretty clever and fast. If you're new to hunting then this wouldn't be a bad breed to start off with mate.

    As above. I'm looking into buying a new dog soon but i don't really have the money or effort at the moment to separate my run into 2 parts for each dog. So I'm wondering if i buy a new dog would it get on with the one i already have at the moment. Or, shall i just get a bitch and separate them when she is in season.

    Depends what the battery is like. We could recommend a charger that the battery cant even use.

    I'm looking into getting a whippet or something with alot of this breed in it for example a beddy x whippet. Anyways im wondering how good are they, do they work the lamp very well, are they injury prone due to the small structure? Any info on these is appreciated.. Also if it was your choice would you go for a straight up whippet or a beddy whippet? Cheers.

    You'd have to be lucky to get that cross mate most people just do saluki bull greys x bull greys ect.. dunno if anyone really breeds them the way you want it.

    They're good dogs. Some are pretty racey type and others are more full of bull and less fast. They are good lamping dogs mines works the lamp perfectly and he's pretty mature at just 14 month.

My mate just got given a one with the papers from them it 3 year old like and hes not selling it but if thats cheap hes one lucky guy haha. is it a bitch ?? if so is she for sale lol?? Nah it's a dog called price hes got it up for stud like.

    Yeh if you haven't got much money just go for a clulite, or save up as its practically the end of the season anyway.

    I just use a regular dog lead, cut the metal clip off and burn the end so it doesn't fray then you have a simple but effective slip lead for like 2 quid.
