Bigthug -- when i had my lab , he was a cracking hunter , he was a big lad but thought nothing of crashing through brambles etc . his nose was that good , i taught him to quarter , it was like having a well behaved spaniel . sadley he's gone now and i have 2 springers ( for my sins ) , again brill hunters and endless energy

  14. do ferrets catch colds ??? one of my jills this morning was shaking / shivering this morn when i fed them before going to work . the other 2 were fine . i held her for a bit and she was ok . SO with the fresher mornings / evenings would she be cold or was it just excitement to see me also heard a few sneezers, from one of them ( not sure which one though )
  15. even though there wild , as you say , is there a shoot on the land or near by . you would still need permission , lamping ( birds ) is totally illegal , unless ferals with a permit , or unless your poaching of course . any how , and an air rifle is not really the tool for the job , yea it can be done , but humane is the name of the game for most of us .
  16. i give mine kitten milk ( watered down a little ) every other day
  17. go for it , a .25 running at 23/24ftlb will be as flat or slightly flatter as .22 at 12ftlb but the whack on the bunny will be hugh if kept to 30 - 40 yards. talk to steve pope at v-mach , he does a great tune on fac hw80's ..
  18. dont worry MAD - got the same prob here , but the momma fert soon puts it right , she knows excatley what to do , i,m sure the little ones will catch on . can you not borrow an experinced jill to use a few times to show them the ropes . Darren .
  19. cfx at a 1000fps -- what ftlb is that. what is the legal power in the US. Gamo's are ok , but i would keep looking , you may have to spend a few more $. which guns can you buy on the net over there . for a long range plinker/hunter i like the HW97 underlever and the HW80 break barrel .
  20. charges via the brass charging port on the underside . no real reason to sell it accept , i really could use the cash at the moment for bills unfortunatly . i dont use it that much , i,m old fashioned and prefer .22 cal , but beleave me it is a superb little rifle looks the same as the BSA lightning , just better built etc .
  21. if you give us some ideas whats available , we,ll tell you if there any good. look for HW's or the eqilivant in a beeman
