my jill is a pole cat , the kitts are a silvery grey , no idea what the hob was as she was found wild . any ideas how they could turn out .

wanted leather ferret collar , type that will take a mk1 transmitter. any one cheers

any one know what the markings on the wheel should read . i,ve just bought a scruffy mk1 , which works fine but there are no labels etc on it at all , it is an 8 ft one so i,m told . any ideas .

thanks all - chicken it is , until i can get out to bag a bunny . what about raw egg , is this good or bad for the feeret . any reason why ham could be bad for them . i also feed james W B . thought this would be ok especially while shes got young uns , nutrients etc . must say though she does not look too good at the moment , very skinny and tied looking . should i add in some supplement . thanks again . been feeding my jill who as week old kitts on dried food with some bits of rabbit ( fresh ) any way ran out of rabbit last night , cant get to shoot any till weekend . so i,am wondering is it ok to feed a lactaing jill raw chicken instead . also have some cooked ham if thats any better . thanks

hi - i,m buying a mk 1 ferret locator and collar off a mate , its the old grey square box type , it works , bit scruffy though . how much do these sell for . thanks

FERRETONE -- can you still buy this . been advised it will work on my jill to occupy her when i need to handle her and have a look at the kitts nest . its been a week and not handled her , stayed away from the nest , but would like to check her over , problem is she keeps trying to latch on to me . or is it too soon ??. thanks

ok i suppose , usually underpowered but can be tuned , light so will recoil a fair bit. HW95 similar price would be better

thanks to you both -- tell me what is the lactol for . the dead kitt is still in the nest as no sign of it in the run etc . mum seems ok when i feed her , curious as ever , but she does look a bit knackered and poor condition poor thing , sounds soft but i love her to bits and dont wont to loose her .

my jill gave birth mon/tues , when can i handle the mum again . when would it be ok to disturb the nest , i know there is at least one dead kit in there and i,d like to remove it or should i just leave well alone . is it ok for me to clean the latrine corner been advised to give the jill lactol , any thoughts . thanks again .

well i was,nt sure if it was a phantom pregency or not , BUT i just checked her and shes in the middle of giving birth this is a first for me re-ferrets , what are the does and donts . shall i leave her , can i feed her etc , etc , need advice asap . thanks Darren .
