I was never into American wrestling. Though I do remember raising an eyebrow at Hogan in the Rocky film and thought he'd probably kill Shirley Crabtree. 'Ol Kent Walton would shit himself with all that vocal... Then I watched it and couldn't get past the shouting.... For Gnasher, the film The Wrestler, starring Micky Rourke is a great insight to the life, and a powerful but poignant film too. I'd bet you'd enjoy it. Also The Iron Claw, a true story about a wrestling family, I also really enjoyed.

I just looked through the window, looked like lots of T shirts and merch of stuff he wore. I didn't fancy a Wrestlemania bandana so I got the pic and we carried on to the beach.

Grew up in a world of 'ollers', bull terriers, clobber and The Jam (who I never seen as a Mod band) The Clash and The Damned. Was given a copy of the album Close To The Edge, by Yes, aged about 14, and it started a love of prog, Floyd, Genesis, Rush and Marillion. Through those came rock and Van Halen, Sabbath and everything else heavy. Then came the funk, Ohio Players, Parliament, Funkadelic etc I love so much music. To me music is a place, a feeling, a vibe. So everything can work. Right now, it's Sleaford Mods, The Viagra Boys and Amil & The Sniffers. But t

Lucky enough to first see him at Donnington in 1984. Then the original Sabbath reunion 1997 in Brum. Though music aside, he was a funny, warm, working class lad, with a love for the early bull bloods that came over from the states. RIP Ozzy

I'm sure I read that Eddie Jones was looking for a little rabbit dog, but seen the litter and the Celt pup stood out. I then heard that the dog made a slow start and was late to mature, but once it was of age was a real deal collie cross. Looking at those photo's I'd have Eddie Jones and our own Chartpolski seperated at birth..!

Bloody hell Neil, don't excuse the collie lurcher. They've been the mainstay of lurchers in the field for hundreds of years, and although they are almost 'bullied' off the posts on this forum, they are still the number one choice of those that can 'put more and get more' from a working lurcher

One of my old mentors, Jimmy, bred and ran Deerhound crosses with John Nuttall of Clithero. Jimmy was a tennant farmer in Halsall, on the edge of Altcar estate. His belief was that the best came out of a Deerhound dam, to a coursing greyhound dog. This brought size down and produced a more agile animal behind a hare. They both had a breeding programme together. Those bred out of a Deerhound dog were almost always for sale, those out of the bitches were ran on and gifted. They both ran matches back then, Jimmy used to tell of how his dogs almost always bettered John's and anyone else'

Nope, I wouldn't do that mate. There are a few Caribbean restaurants in Liverpool now, so I just need to pick one and get stuck in. All them fillings on Downsouth's post are right up my street...

If your vet says the toe needs to come off, I'd get a second opinion. Don't trust most vets. A mate's dog got in a fight with his other, and the vet wanted to take the front leg off. Second opinion from a 'better' vet and the dog will heal fine to run again. Most vets are anti's

That's not a bad thing mate, tbh it was far too hot. The guys and gals at Conwy did go above and beyond for dog (and human) welfare but it was bloody uncomfortable...
