  1. Good post Butler, I would think the same could be said of bull blood as well. IMO the same can be said of all blood, choosing your foundation stock for the job you require is getting harder an harder!
  2. I'd agree with Kay on the PM thing and it does seem a bit loud on brightness, to be honest Ian, I liked it how it was but then again, I'm a tecnophobe and general pc retard so what do I know! I'll get used to it. As long as folk contrubute good honest posts, thats what matters!!!
  3. i bought them from ebay from your friend, and 1 of them was definatley a photo copy, verified by an art gallery! You cheeky little twat! You bought them off me through ebay. Thought you were sending them back after your snide little trick with paypal? If they were so bad, why aren't they back here? I'm sorry I ever saw these f*****g prints. I put them on ebay as a favour, got mithered by gobshite oldrednose, they sold for £29 for the pair, cost me £21.65 to post by RMSD, shithead above says one of them is a copy (it isn't) and paypal take the money back off me,
  4. Big bold pups, should do well in the right hands!
  5. This is my english bull x greyhound whippet, just started workin lamp, 10months old. cheers. he's out tonight, lookin forward to it! Well after two years of hearing how many there are, well done MB, this is the first first cross i've seen on here
  6. Go for the Ram AA, the one's with the re-enforced fronts (can't think what the material is!).
  7. I'd go for the Ram jacket as a decent knock about field coat for that price, Though if you cvould find a cheap Montana they are better. If it was me and I was lookin for sommat to last, i'd go for a second hand 'heavyweight' Barbour. Wax holy feck out of it and wear a fleece under in cold weather, i'd bet within a month or two it'll feel like an old friend!
  8. It's a heart dog for me Wilf, every time. Though that can come with a price! For me it's about getting the basics right, to get them in the field young, sound entering and then letting good breeding and long legs do the rest! I like a partner, an ally, not a robot. Sometimes you'll curse them but admiration is forever present. That price I mentioned..... well that can be fatal but thats the game i'm afraid....! Oh yer, that Mercedies chapter 'gets' me everytime too!
  9. As has been said, he'll tell you theres no difference, it's all the same stuff. In my opinion Nuttals stuff changed well before Miner and i've seen some big dogs out of Miner which reminded me of his older stuff, so maybe he's right and there is no difference?
  10. I remember Gary with a near (I thought it was pure black from distance) black dog in the late 's or early 90's (I think?), the reason I remember it was it was such a nice stamp of a dog and it's colour, I made a joke about him turning away from his B+T's and to to why he had it and he said it was out of his stuff and actually B+T and when I looked closer it was!
  11. Very well done Tomo & co. Those pups you bred should excell their dam, I only wish i was in the position i'm in now, i'd have snapped one up!
  12. I think the type of chest youre on about is not just a deep chest associated with a running dog, but also the width of the chest, if a dog has a wide ribcage aswell as a deep one it will have a greater lung capacity than a dog with a deep but narrow chest. Bigger lung capacity= more efficient delivery of oxygen to the working muscles therefore greater stamina potential. Look at alot of whippets built for short bursts, they have deep but narrow chests, a dog that is not renound for its stamina but for pure explosive speed, also comming in greyhounds, although many coursing bred greyhounds
  13. Great news Rolfe, I have and have always enjoyed "I Walked...." and this i'm sure will be a cracker too, i'll see the Mrs for me Crimbo prez
  14. I've kept Bull X's for the best part of 18 years but they are Bull x 'LURCHERS' and I run 'em the same as i've ran/run other crosses i've owned, no different! So i'm glad that there is no Bull x section, we don't need it on here, they are all fecking Lurchers! They run and catch stuff..... How hard is that to understand???!!!
  15. You and me both Joe. In some areas they'll 'dust' all but the best dogs and i'd much sooner see 'em lamped than shot!
  16. Damn fine photo's Chalk's of some damn fine beasts. Aye, they'd fill a freezer or two!
  17. Spot on GTE My two penneth worth is this, I've never operated on the right side of the law, never have and prob's never will. Shunned (or made half arsed attempts at seeming keen) permission when ever offered.... it ain't my way! I simply enjoy the fact that I go when and wherever I choose BUT I've always had the utmost respect for landowners, the land and the stock, thats the way it always should be. Would agree with Chalkie too, you'll always get the ''dick-slaps'', in my time with the dogs i've seen enough come and go and they eventually do go. It seems to go in waves too, where ever
  18. What you looking to get from that mix? Think you call that a mongrel mate......... Another muppet putting someone down. He's asking for the best cross No shit sherlock..... and pray tell, what is the best cross? Shall I tell you mr know it all? The best cross is the one that suits him, no one else. There are several different crosses for a reason. Everyone swearing by their chosen one. Just read the replies on here ff's. Now, I've read plenty of errr advice.... get a collie cross, get a saluki... bedlington.... greyhound cross cos whippets are peeesh....blah,blah, fart,
  19. Out of that lot, Christmas or a good fruit cake but i do like good bread n butter pudding too
  20. I think alot of people are missin the point, i was out last night on the exact same ground i ran my first heat on against LAT. We ended up with six that night yet i went the EXACT same place last night an walked off with 35 rabbits. . Its what you call lampin its up an down an those that do enough of it will UNDERSTAND COMPLETELY. Theres a hell of alot of people on here to to talk things down. The lads that are in the comp WANT the ground they are runnin to be RIDDLED with rabbits to show what there dogs can do. We dont need anyone else to point out the obvious If only we all had this permiss
  21. All sound advice Whin I hope he takes it on board
