    It was about 4 years ago I got my first permission and I was mega excited, and that alone can cause problems. When you have the quarry in your sights try to be calm because its easy to miss or even worse wound. I would stay clear of heart and lung shot all together when starting out, their is very little room for error and I still now don't use heart shots. You should only aim for head shots only, whatever the quarry. Camo all depends on what type of shooting your going to be doing.     Hey Ian. They way I got my permission was by posting letters. You can get permission letters pre done off the Internet and you just fill in your details.. Or you can knock on their door and ask. Also I would try dairy farms because there is a lot of feed left out around the cattle shed which encourages rats. Keep at it and something will come along soon enough.

    Hi guys. I'm Chris, 29 years old and have been shooting air rifles for about 3 years at my local dairy farm for rabbits, pigeon and crows. I also have 2 ferrets which I recently bought a hob and a Jill. The hob is 2 and the Jill is 8 months. I'm new to the ferreting world but unfortunately don't have any friends that share the same hobbies as me so it would be great to met people I can relate with.
