  1. i am not hijacking this thread just putting up picks of mine which is the same layout just using a watec instead and to show where i mount the battery just hope it may help some one out by the way with IR Torch on full i get 200 yds + but unfortunately much too far, for normal air rifle range it is on very low
  2. i have sent letters but not tried emails the letters got me 1 perm so i changed my tactics i built a web page its HERE This has brought me 3 perms in the last month and i have also taken up ferreting so when i talk to the farmer/land owner i can offer shooting and ferreting two just want the rabbits removed its up to me when i turn up and the other which had lots of livestock wanted ferrets only but he has got me 2 more people he knows with land where i can shoot i just need to visit them and do the formalities. so for me the winner is a website and having the chance to offer ferreting as a
  3. i was to vet they said the jill jab costs £9 and the consulting fee would be £25 so we are talking £31 per jill and i have 2 then as soon as they come into season it would cost the same so i contacted a rescue center and got a hob that was vascomised for £40 hes done the job on both jill and he is a very nice ferret so will see how he works so there is another option to concider
  4. as abarret said i did try this but my hob decided he wanted to stash my hand away so i got some ferretone and they just sit there licking till its gone and wanders off to do what he wants to do. ferretone is more expensive but i have trained my 3 ferrets to come to a clicker (when they are not to occupied with something else but on the odd occasion when i have been bit when i first got the ferrets i scuffed their necks and pinned them to the floor for a few seconds and now if i do it they sulk for a few seconds until something else catches their eye then the are off this works as now

  8. i just re read my post it looks like i want another ferret ... i don't just wondering if anyone near has a vasectomised hob to do the business for my ferrets and take them out of season so i don't have young running about i can bring my jill to you or you can bring your hob to me i don't mind either way
  9. i don't know the prices you have but in Telford the cheapest is £62.40 and this vet specializes in exotic vets hope this helps
  10. i am new to ferreting but all i have read is give them a chance and let their own curiosity do the work i have 2 jills they haven't been worked but i will go out there not expecting them to know what to do but i am sure when they get the hang of it they will be happy working (i hope) patience is the key on your part more than the ferrets don't stuff them down the hole or they may get a fear i have drain pipes in the garden and when i let them out the run straight in and play with each other as ferrets do (they was shy at first but as it was a game they got over that) just think
  11. as title says i am looking for a vasectomised hob i live in telford (but willing to travel to nearby areas) with 2 young jills which should come into season this year i can breed them with a complete Hob but don't want to add to the ferret population unnecessarily but may want to breed them later on i know i can get them the jill jab but would rather have things done naturally first
