had a few hours out today in the gail forse wind! firstly the ferrets wer spot on had 6 in the bag 2 digs dog had one in cover , neted the rest then because of geting pissed off neting up on my own in the rain desided to bolt the last set and have a go with the 12g missed 4. beter stick to the purse nets!. eanways back to the dog breaking situation. i desided in my wisdom that if my little bitch new the ferrets wer part ov the team the mabe the penny would drop a bit quicker. so i used the dog to put rabbits to ground. then put the ferret box on the floor while i neted up an let the dog r

muzzle sounds like a good idea. just taken the dogs out to the cage one at a time to see them for the first time. thay were both verry interested but not baying and wineing as thay would [BANNED TEXT] marking a rat. after 5 mins of snifing about the dog would just start doing laps ov the yard like he always dose at nite but the bitch just sits and watches them. its gona be slow progress but ill get there dont realy want to have to leave the dogs at home.

got myself 3 ferrets and all the gear i need to get started today. id like to take my 2 terriers along but not untill im 100% happy there safe around the stinkers. the dogs are both 2 and a bit years and have done a lot ov ratting. has eanyone had eany luck breaking them at this age ans how did you go about it? there pretty steady dogs and good with all live stock. atb mr g

went out early sunday mornin just me an the 2 terriers. dogs did well put up a few bunnies shot 3 missed 2. an had a vixen out of a big bramble patch nice to hear the change in voice [BANNED TEXT] on charlie realy screeming. should help out the few phesants that are about for our little rough shoot at xmas.

can u put some picks up please sounds like just wat im after but it will be a fair drive im in shropshire.

all depends on the amount of rats the more dogs the more chane you will have. altho one experenced dog that nos wat its doing will be worth 10 that dont have a clue.

eany small 2stroke engine will do the job just extend the exhaust pipe with some steel tube far enough that it cools down then fit a rubber pipe to push into holes. most dogs will kill rats terriers are good at it because thay love it. and are a handy size for the job. id make shure you take some dogs that you no 100% do rats tho or you will end up looking the fool.
