  1. I always find they bolt better in frost than when its wet. Theyre not keen on rain :-) and neither am i
  2. Cumbria. About 1 hour from scotland border so depends how far south your willing to travel
  3. I have a nice small polecat from this years litter. Good little worker too. Not wanting to sell him but happy to have him line a jill if your willing to travel this far??
  4. Been in an old quarry bottom today and inside them there just yellow full of fat
  5. Mine had one jab at the start of last season and never came in again.
  6. The jab only cost me about 4 quid :-)
  7. Cheers, cleaned out alot of the permission ive had with my friends as we all have a couple of ferrets. Just thought it was worth a go :-)
  8. I recently bought a paramo coat of ebay worth 200 quid. Got it for 90. It was from paramo seconds. It was listed as used but was only used in a photoshoot for a magazine. Its a great coat, fully waterproof and good as new. Keeps me dry up ont grouse moors. Thry sell jackets and trousers, so might be worth a look.
  9. Anyone know what sort of price id be looking at for a norfolk long graft/spade??

  10. Looking for land to ferret only with nets so wouldn'y be a risk to livestock. Around Eden Valley area in Cumbria preferably??
  11. Some can be worse than others ive found but this seems to be a successful way around it and normally isnt too painful
  12. I have some mick dadd nets I got at lowther. Top quality stuff for anyone whos wondering :-)
  13. I've used both and mk3 is so much more complicated. Mk1 is all I use now
  14. With an adult ferret that wont stop biting, a good way to stop it is to put disinfectant on your knuckle, let it bite and when it tastes it it will soon loose interest after a few days of this. When it gets hold of your knuckle, dont pull away, leave your hand there for a few seconds so it gets a good taste.
