  1. one we were chasing before did a quarter turn pike entry into the river
  2. if im having a pint in the pub i cant put it back down in the same spot, but i cant just throw it anywhere. i make sure the edge of the glass is touching the old ring it made, and go along in a line like the audi symbol. among a lot of things most have you have said as well. mam has ocd, ive got some very ocd tendancies. if im stood in a cue and paying with change, i cant have the coins just given to the cashier willy nily. i sort them into size order as i wait my turn haha!
  3. moyes has been doing a grand job for the toffees on absolutely zero money. he's now on what can be best described as a 6 year appreticeship under ferguson. once he settles he'll clean up. as much as it pains me as an everton fan.
  4. only a matter of time before ukip get in lads and bin most of these idiots hopefully. judging by the straw clutching other parties are doing they're genuinely feeling threatened. Too little too late, they're the only party making sense to me at the minute and the way this country is slipping i for one cant wait to see big changes. Lets see Great britain, Great again.
  5. you dont know if the lad is a breeder do you..? or was this a one off..? This is the nearest town to me, my family live there so if i could be looking at buying a good pup that local i would be over the moon. looks like some really decent breeding in there too.
  6. i think you hit it on the button when you said about rural friends and city dwellers having differing views...in a city, guns are held by criminals on the whole. Don't get me wrong city people still shoot, buut you get less sporting shooters in a city, and certainly a decrease in farmers etc. Where i live, rural, theres countless shoots in the surrounding areas, hundreds of farms. guns aren't as shocking or as feared when you grow up around them and none of your shotguns are sawn off...but viewed as sport/pest control instead of weapons used by wrong uns.
  7. totally agree with everything said.... ...and would only add 'the terror and fear and distress the animal was going through' ffs man...its a deer. the countrys ran by homosexual vegetarians. where do you think meat comes from you mongs..? watch discovery channel and tell me that when a lion, cheetah or other big cats get a kill, its not exactly the same as when a dog does it...? Not that I am condoning or would ever condone hunting with dogs...I dont even own a dog
  8. what are haunters...? ghosts? up da ghosts..?
  9. If they can't trace the owners how the f**k can they say its badger baiting that's done it...? There should be laws to control the shite that newspapers spout. The "poetic licence" they have on twisting stories is crazy.
  10. i know a lad who owns a fishing lake on a farm, he stocks the pond and a heron kept taking the fish from the pond, hence costing him money to restock all the time. So he shot it...they can be right little b*****ds. like foxes they'll keep going back if they know there's food. Not that im saying this is the same but, there us is occasionally reasons why people do things. Whilst I don't agree with it, I can't blame the lad for doing it.
  11. Friend of mine has one. Not what you would call a "terrier man" but he works on a stables and the dog is out and about all day. Crazy for rabbits, mad keen, she's only 8 month old too. Caught a rabbit the other day and ate it All barring the head. Potential with a bit of training in my opinion from what I've seen. Not sure about bushing etc. but for rabbits or a ferreting companion etc. this pup looks good.
  12. Brilliant mate thanks for the help.
  13. ok mate. i can do this without taking the rifle totally to bits?
  14. thanks mate. I'd just heard a few people saying I will need to put around 1000 pellets through her before she gets on point. Yeah I've came from a tx200 so the weight is a big big drop. nearly threw the rifle over my head when i first lifted it up haha! atb with you're hunting as well mate, cheers for the reply.
  15. Just bought myself a nice new s410. whilst second hand also has its advantages, i was trading a rifle in so...seemed like the best option. I was wondering how long 'bedding in' period would be..? should i spend the summer bedding it in with a few tins of pellets, ready for september when i start going out for rabbits again..? is it a really noticable innacuracy? Ive never had a brand new rifle before and this is my first PCP. Thanks for any help.
  16. i dont heart shot any bird if i can avoid it. couple of times ive got them plucked/breasted and the blood has spoilt the meat...ive taken a heart shot on a rabbit, and it didn't really spoil it because the rabbit meat is all 'bottom end' where as birds its all breast meat, right next to the heart. OP - they're tough little beggars, possibly just nerves but still. few swings round by the neck will do the trick.
  17. Her and jimmy Saville will be meeting up in the afterlife and comparing numbers on how many miners they f****d...
  18. I'm after a 410 at the minute. Upgrading from my tx200. Can't fault the tx too much but loading it with any sort of urgency while out lamping is a pain in the backside...and it's not the quietest. I'm in two minds wether to keep it or trade it in/sell it and get a 410.
  19. ok mole no worries. gun oil and tin foil...as for the spring it was just what i got given. Im a relative new starter to air rifles so will be looking at getting an air arms tx spring back in it. Thanks. I will take some photos when i get home later mawders. I'll upload them so you can see what i mean. The looks dont do the rifle justice to how it shoots, and thats with an ox spring. it will be awesome with an AA one if thats going to improve it like you say.
  20. I inherited a rusty second hand tx a while back, it was in bad condition, it had been sat in a shed for a long while as far as i can gather. It's been serviced and had new seals and an ox spring put in it, it now shoots perfect. However it doesn't look great. Barrels covered in, not thick rust...but it's from top to tail, thin layer. I'm after doing it up and selling it so looking like this won't really appeal to anyone. What's the suggestions for getting a good finish on it? Some people say wire wool, toothbrush etc. I've bought some gun oil as well. Cheers for any help you can give
  21. put 10 bets on this year between me and my old man. the ones i backed i put them on E/W, tarquinius, major malarky, accross the bay, join together and quiscover fontaine (all mine were big outsiders, anything up to 100/1) and the old man picked em to win, he had tea for three and cappe bleu...rest were non finishers. imperial commander was one i was surprised by. National is like the FA cup though. favourites always get upstaged.
  22. Whereabouts in the lakes are you from..? i love the place. keep visiting different areas and I'm yet to be disappointed when i get there. welcome to the forum anyway mate.
