    speaking to a lad local to me who only goes ferreting, has done for years, he doesnt use them at all...seemed to think it was too much money to pay, now Ive became attached to mine, so i want em back, but him and the lads he goes with just treat them like they're expendable. got a hutch full, so it doesnt matter if they dont come back. but he rarely loses them as well they always surface...? is this common? or do most use collars?

    i thought the avatar was a joke you dont do tha gay fake wrestling shit do you..? Aye mate I started for fitness and would you believe it I'm a natural. I'll be wrestling champ of the world, just you wait an see..... i did olympic wrestling/freestyle while i was training mma. actually really functional stufff, great for fitness and you dont panic if someone gets hold of you any more, as you just know what to do. points of balance, weight shifting etc. would recommend it to anyone. the other stuff is like a pantomime tho isnt it..? each to their own like.

    ive heard rumours that lads near me still do this. they get scattered from the estates that hold shoots, far and wide accross the country lanes, find a stream or river within a 5 mile radius and you'll find roosting pheasents in the trees. To me, once they're off the shoot, and into public highways/bridleways that should be fair game. Not that i do it mind you.

    im going to spend to much time on my dog...im doing all i can now, reading, watching videos etc. the advice that keeps coming up, book or online is 'a dog will do anything for food' i think having kids has made me even more patient as well. a dog is a lot like a kid too imo, get away with as much as they can, and you get out what you put into them. its up to you to decide, good well behaved, or a little sod.

    mines because its grim....up north, i spelt it norf because thats how i say it most of the time, being a northern peasent. ironic really as yorkshire is gods country, however 'its-actually-really-nice-up-north-it-being-grim-is-a-popular-misconception' would have been a ball ache to log in with.
