Planning a litter off my gwp bitch, and want the pups docked. I'm in Scotland so as you know it's not legal, any loop holes to do it legally? My bitch was from a Scottish breeder but was legally docked with certificate. Any advice would be great cheers

Cheers for the advice, I personally never enter a dog until I think it's mature enough to handle the hustle and bustle of a shoot day! Yeh I've a got a gwp bitch so I know all about how head strong they can be, but then again I had her from a pup. I can see extreme potential in her the dog will graft and one day be a valued member of the pack. As to what I think when she runs away I want to f***ing kill her as I can see her running about, stopping to look at me calling her and carrying on as she does! But just tell her when she comes back that I'm as persistent as she is and I'm not going

Background- got a 8 month old 2/3 gwp x1/3 lab, who is now 11 months old. The first month I got her I just did the basics and really got her to bond with me. Taking her out on a long lead and getting her to come to the recall on the whistle, basically getting her to fit in with my way of life and to fit into the pack. Started giving her more freedom as I was confident in her and there was the few teething problems you get with a pup, seeing her first pheasant flushed, bumping into her first bolting rabbit and seeing her first roe deer which I handled like I have my other dogs and she was

Yeh can't fault the dog, great retrieve, hunts, brilliant in water! Will be a great addition to the pack, just need to get this occasional nose to the ground and f***ing off for a bit! She'll come though

Yeh mine have runs too, but they get out early morning,afternoon,tea time and last thing! Had a thought though when they were pups they were in the house so they were house trained!

My three kennel dogs very rarely mess in there kennels (once in a blue moon) and my friend was looking after them for a few days couldn't believe they never messed in there kennels as every time he goes to take his out the kennels are covered in crap! I thought this was normal for dogs to be clean but obviously not, are anyone else's dogs clean? Marc

My dogs are kennelled individually with no problems

Yeh two estates I go to have informed me this year well have to fill in a p whatever number! It won't effect people with jobs as they can claim dog food etc, but it's supposedly meant to weed out people claiming benefits and beating 5 days a week! I try beat 2 days a week minimum in between work so they say it shouldn't effect me, Atb Marc

Not worried about the tax was just thinking by the time you pay fuel etc youd have nothing left! I know a lot of guys do it for nothing but when it's my source of income over the season then I was slightly worried! I'll take not of them names lab haha

They're a cracking dog I inherited a smoothy at 8 months old and ca nt fault him however I can't justify paying £850 for one when I bought my German wire haired pointer for £300 and she does exactly the same! But if you've got the cash then there's no problem

I have a GWP that's of trudvang lines and she's a great dog! She's just come into season and away to mate her. Also mustwork have decent lines give them both a look
