Hi I'm looking to purchase a bsa privately, I have the serial number is there anyway of finding info out about it via the serial number, I.e if it's stolen etc.

I fitted a Welsh willy to my 99 and it sorted the twang out and I played around with the power washers and it's at 11.4 fps. I put in the piston sleeve but took it out later as I didn't like it in. The top hat and spring guide sort out the twang.

Cleaning Barrel While Testing Pellets
PJWmids replied to Geordieboy's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I recently purchased napier cleaning kit and have been happy with it. -
I've got three , cause it was cheaper buying from china the complete units than the drop in. Does seem a bit crazy the way they price them.

Are minks only found by water sources or near to them, or do they come inland. I had a recent attack on my geese, and had a runner duck killed while I was in the area found the duck after it had just happened and there was a whole in its chest cavity no other wounds aparant. In thinking a mink could be the culprit. There used to be lots of rabbits, I haven't seen any this year. What do you think? Any advice welcomed.

When you zero a rifle say at 25 yards on a specific magnification, does altering that magnification then change the point of impact slightly at the same distance, or does it make no difference once zero'd.

In the December issue of airgun shooter they have a review of the knew pitch black nv hunter, at £350 it looks a good rival to the ns50. It looks like it produces good quality images, albeit looks wise it looks like a nineteenth century camera lol, any body else know much about it?

Wanting A Break Barrel Rifle But Not Sure Which.

Welcome to 99 club lol -
I bought a hw99s back in feb, being from the west mids I asked if tony tuned them, his response was he doesn't tune them, as they still are a little "fierce" even when tuned. I spoke to steve pope, he wasnt interested and was put onto someone else. In the end I got welsh willy tuning kit, stripped it cleaned and polished, fitted the kit, and sorted the grouching issue myself with some delrin inserted in the cocking arm. And it shoots lovely. quiet and accurate. I've got a weihrauch silencer fitted, but my only gripe is with this fitted the barrel is very long, In an ideal world I world prefer

Pellets Producing Different Ftpds Results
PJWmids replied to PJWmids's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Are you saying your rifle was tuned at sfs and that's what it was shooting at 11.4 with jsb exacts and then 12.04 with falcon accuracy plus? -
had half hour on the rats round my chicken pens tonight, got a couple, the rat run they were using was in a bit of an awkward position. couple of holes that they pop up and down very quickly, set up my ir torch on it and got down in prone and waited. one popped up for a sec bang perfect head/eye shot, waited a a few minutes and his mate arrived he was running backwards and forwards had to bide my time for the right shot, he stopped for a split second giving me time to squeeze the trigger, he went down his tail twisting about a few times. the third of the three amigos was spotted in my scopes b

Pellets Producing Different Ftpds Results
PJWmids replied to PJWmids's topic in General Airgun Discussion
well if thats the case then wouldnt it be sensible for the police to have stated in the public domain that they will use rws hobbys to test fire spring air rifles, so then all spring air rifle owners could then put their rifles over a chrono with those pellets and then be safe in the knowledge everyone knows where they stand. and then the heaviest type in a pcp if thats the way it works with them. my intial concern was was it possible for one 14.3 gr pellet to shoot at 11.4 and another 14.5gr pellet shoot at 12.7 which obviously is cause its doing it through my rifle. but i presume its mor -

Pellets Producing Different Ftpds Results
PJWmids replied to PJWmids's topic in General Airgun Discussion
If such variables can can be achieved from using different pellets it's any wonder anyone is a 100 percent sure what there rifle is at. The end of the day my rifle is consistent at 11.4 with crossman, if I hadn't used any other pellets I'd have been none the wiser. Surely you can't be prosecuted if the pellets you are personally using are firing at a legal limit. It all seems a bit of grey area to me. -
I tuned my rifle recently, and purchased a couple of tins of crossman premier ultra magnum .22 cal 14.3 gr. when I shoot with these i got an average of 599.2 fps which equates to 11.40 ftpds. they are quite a tight fit. i had a tin of rws superdomes 14.5gr lying around so i put them over my chrono and got a reading of 629.66 thats 12.77 ftpds and are quite a loose fit. is it normal to achieve such a massive difference in power just by using a different brand pellet? I dont want my rifle to be illegal so will have to bring the power down so the rws are firing within the legal limit, bu

Thanks for the info guys. Do you know what the place is called in bilston as im not far from there I'm in Stourbridge.

Thanks for the info. Where do you get them tested and how much does that cost? If it was out of test will you be unable to get it filled or is it possible to still get filled for air guns.

I'm looking to buy a second hand pcp and dive bottle. How do you know how much test is left on a dive bottle? Is it marked on the bottle or does it have a certificate? Thanks for any info.
