  1. Went onto the range this morning, got the picture at 50 yards a bit more clearer, but still think I could do with a bit more magnification. Maybe the lighting conditions weren't helping last week. I better start saving if I'm gonna go for the panorama.
  2. Thanks for the info Simon, I'll try it again using your technique and see how I get on.
  3. I tried adjusting that at the time, but it didn't really make any difference, I only seem to have trouble when on 9 x magnification, the image quality is clear on the other magnification settings, that's why I wonder if it's at its limit if you know what I mean, and maybe I'd be better with a higher magnification scope, where I can use x10 or x11 where the scopes not at its maximum magnification if it's a 4-12 x mag scope. If that makes any sense lol
  4. Countryway were doing a deal on the panorama 4-12x40 Map 6 with AO and IR for £99.95 if you like the map 6 reticle. I use mill dot, but cheers for the heads up.
  5. My scope has AO, it's just blurry and small at 9 x mag, I'm looking at a one inch kill zone at 50 yards.
  6. Thanks for the info, I could pop round sfs and have a look.
  7. My other question is I've been looking at the hawke sport hd 4-12 x 50 AO IR at £89.99 and the hawke panorama ev 4-12 x 50 ir AO at £155 is the panorama really worth the extra money?
  8. My scopes are hawke. And I was looking to get another hawke but with more magnification.
  9. Hi I'm currently using a hawke 3-9 x 50mm scope, but can't help feeling I'm struggling with seeing at 50 yards, I'm thinking of getting something like 4-12 x 50mm or 4-16 x 50mm, will the extra magnification be a very noticeable improvement on what I'm using, and will this help reduce my grouping size?
  10. Get yourself a decent barrel cleaning kit with rods and push out back through the barrel.
  11. Maybe you nicked the seal when you fitted, wouldn't have thought it was a regulator problem seeing it was OK when you first fitted the seal. Had you lubricated the seal?
  12. Is the probe going in central? Have you pulled some cleaning wads through the barrel using a pull through kit?

  14. Seals wear, it's a fact of life, they reckon you should replace all the seals annual, but I think you only need to if you notice a problem, and usually its the probe seal, I apply abbey sm50 to the pellet probe seal to keep it lubricated. You only need a small amount, I also put it on the pellet probe bolt side to keep it lubricated. Glad to hear your r10 is ready for action happy hunting.
  15. A few less to breed! The one stuck under the shed won't be there long, they'll soon eat the remains. Vile things.
  16. I wash my pellets and use this on them once dry, I find my grouping is improved to just using pellets straight out the tin.
  17. Well they feed from grain left on the floor from feeding the chickens, so I know where there going to be heading. They don't really stay still, so it's a case of quick target location and shoot. They have been chewing on the coup doors trying to get inside. And I recently put some young chickens into the flock, they killed two, I found one chick head first in a rat hole, obviously to big for the hole, but the bloody things still tried to drag it down. I hate rats with a passion, they will eat anything, including each other!
  18. Cheers guys, That's what I use remybolt, I've got a litter picker to pick them up with. I'm going to have another go at them the end of the week to see if there are anymore left about.
  19. Hadn't been round the chicken coups for a while, lost two chicks last night to rats, so was a bit pissed off tonight, took the r10 and my nv setup and had half hour. Soon as it went dark, spotted two took one with a headshot, his mate disappeared, but soon enough he came looking for his mate, big mistake, took him with a headshot. Waited about 15 mins, hadn't seen anything else, then spotted the glint of another rats eyes in my nv, took the shot but he started doing some body popping so had to take a second shot to silence him. After inspection the first shot went through his neck. Hopefully t
  20. Bsa r10 mk2, but I'm biased as I own one lol
  21. Nice shooting, one less tree rat!
  22. Lol I was replying to the thread. Then realised I'd already done that. So deleted and left a nice smiley face
