He is 15 month olds. He dose not have any teeth or gum problems.he has done this with the last few rabbits he has caught or not.makes the stike and as soon as he catches he releases it. Seen them getting lifted off the ground and dropped mid run. He has held dead rabbits and will retreve dummies with rabbit skin.

Been doing that he has seen and run double when they have been caught also have a dummy with a skin on it to see if that helped him

Alright anyone got any tips or ideas. I have been out on the lamp with my dog and he is striking the rabbits very soft. He has actualy caught them and when they touch his mouth he lets them go. Has happened the last few times we have been out.????

Can take the best bred pup from great lines and if you cant train it the dog will never show its true potential But the odds are better to produce decent pups On the other hand a dog bred from average dogs with good training can be a good dog But the odds are a little more stacked against it producing the goods What ever you chose a pup from if you dont put the work in and the training into the dog it still will never reach its full potential

Ferret seems to have come of age today. It wasn't showing any interest until today. went out at first light this morning down to a local set. I covered about 8 holes in a hedge row a road on other side and had the dog sitting on the field side. Big ferret down and I take my seat within a few minutes I here him working bellow ground .To my disappointment 2 rabbits bolt in quick succession out a hole I didnt spot near the road side and away. bummer.ferret comes out with a new found energy to work rather than play and I try him down a few of the other holes nothing was happening after that so I
